The world is STILL planning to come to Paradis and kill them all because Willy declared war. Eren wants to kill them before they can kill his people. Both ends are talking about genocide, so why should Eren be "the bad guy" when both solutions are the same?

They've been on both sides, and I'm not being disingenuous. Yes, the story has us sympathize with them at first but by the end or at least by S4, you're supposed to see all sides of it. Lastly, I'm not saying that he has no choice, I'm saying the choice he's made is the most logical. You keep talking about the colossal titans as if they're some small tactical unit. You nor I know how the Rumbling fully works, all we know is that he can control a generalized number and make them stop or go, and how do you think he will reach military base further away...you think the titans just gonna tip toe over the cities as to not cause any damage....doubtful

You keep saying other ways, and I'm telling you that there are no ways in which you garner peace using the very thing that the world is trying to genocide you for. The problem is, Eldia doesn't have enough might to just fight normally, they need the rumbling to some degree, at bare minimum they have to soft rumble to even have a chance...and you're right there is no point in debating you because you sway towards hope, which is cool n all, but isn't the most rational decision.

The whole memed line (and I really don't know why) explains the mentality of the rebels pretty fucking clearly--genocide is wrong. They can't control what the rest of the world does, but they *can* potentially change or kill Eren. There's a huge difference between a hypothetical future genocide, and a currently happening one. Thats why Armin said, all he needed was the walls of Shiganshina for an attack that will wipe out the global alliance. If Eren chooses to, he can easily control a couple of colossals to stomp it out. A threat against the world just like what nuclear weapons are in our world. the point is, he chose to sacrifice the world because he didnt want to sacrifice Historia and continue the bloodline by eating royal family members.

Going by the Anime (tho I have read the manga) we've heard or seen nothing that hints at The rumbling being able to only target small concise places, the smallest scale we've heard was just taking out Marley. This still matters little because again the point is, the Rumbling at any capacity only increases the already, apparently genoicide worthy fear of Eldians. The world Fears them so heavily that they agreed to wipe them out BEFORE the Rumbling ever happened so what do you think they'll think of them afterwards...The whole OTHER plan is based on fear, that the world will fear them enough to back off for a while, but peace through fear will just leave them to hate the Eldians more, it's not a good plan at all

The points should be fair, which is genocide is wrong no matter the percentage of success. the point is to UNDERSTAND the WHY, Eren is doing it BECAUSE the world is never gonna stop trying to erase them. Yes, Eren's means to achieving it is stronger but is at the end of the day a reaction to what the WORLD is trying to do. And doing a partial rumble will only increase the fear of Eldians...their is no way that the World WILL EVER stop fearing what the Eldians CAN do...That's the core issue, the world is unwilling to give Eldians a chance (which makes sense given past Eldian trangressions) but that doesn't justify their hate towards modern Eldians nor the future Eldians who again will always be hated and pursued for simply existing. I really wish you guys had someone who took a more pragmatic view of the situation vs just basing everything on morality because that's not the deeper debate here.

This episode really hammers home there isn't a right or wrong side, it's just whichever side you are willing to fight for.
