I love this episode, finally seeing Subaru and his allies going against the Witch's Cult. The tone shifts are brilliant in my opinion and ReZero doesn't shy away from the gore and terror of what magic can do to the human/humanoid body. Small correction though, Betelgeuse never truly 'died' this episode. He can transfer his soul to other bodies and those bodies are what he calls his "fingers". Julius figures it out and mentions that they can never really know what the original Betelgeuse looked like. Thus, to destroy him you would have to kill ALL of his Witch's Cult. That is why he's so difficult to kill even if you can beat him in a fight.

The Re:Zero Prophecy of the Throne game gives more info on the characters and a fun cute fact about Mimi and her two brother's is that they come from a tribe called the Tribe of the Kitten (yes that's legitimately what their tribe is called)
