As someone who isn't generally fond of anime, this is the best anime I've ever watched. It starts out somewhat silly, but you will be hitting yourself in the head with a bat trying to get rid of the pain by the end. Also, make sure you watch the director's cut ending for season 1.

But it's also a reference to the blinding spell "Balse" (pronounced "barusu" in Japanese) from the Ghibli Film Laputa: Castle in The Sky

2020-11-25 17:30:12 +0000 UTCactually in the english dub they kinda just call him barusu too. which brings me to the point where alot of jokes in anime sometimes dont make sense in the dub because it was made to be specifically spoken in japanese. though I always thought she was just mixing his name around for laughs since if you switch the poistions of Su, baru in "Subaru" it becomes "Barusu". But idk lol thats what I thought
