Eliza was supposed to direct this episode. However she was unavailable so Lindsay stepped it up. I watched an interview Lindsay did about it. She said they kept rewriting the script for the episode from one moment to these next so it made it very difficult to keep up with the rewriting. Both Lindsay and Eliza wanted Clarke to fall to her knees crying when she was told Bellemy died. However the producer wasn't having it. He wanted shock. Lindsay did the best with what she was given.

It is funny to me, many fans of this show were waiting for Bill to show up since season 4, where our characters watched the video with him, so when he showed up this episode super fans were like "yees, finally" while casual viewers "who is this guy? Should we know him?"

Just re-watch your own reaction of The 100 4x3. Chris called Bill Cadogan being alive. I mean.... he was being sarcastic, lol but still. Also you saw Bill's face in that ep via tablet. That episode specifically should bring you all up to speed. I love Chris for remembering that shit from way back in season 4. It makes me sad Suraj forgot :( his memory is second to none.
