2020-09-17 03:18:00 +0000 UTCThere is also a pretty sweet anime version that's a bit easier to follow along. It's pretty well animated and explains the whole body-inhabiting thing a little clearer. It also follows the novelization a little more closely in some areas.

2020-08-22 13:19:02 +0000 UTCDunno if anyone has explained this yet, but the novel the show is based off of is explicitly romantic between Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan. However, because it's a chinese show, they never outright say or show there's a romance between the two of them. There's a lot of just, long shots of them looking at each other with soft music in the background and what not.

2020-08-22 13:18:16 +0000 UTCThat was a great reaction...this is one of those shows that takes it time to hook you...it has animated and a comic book adaptation as well..as others have said its from a novel..if marketta is interested in reading it..there is English translation of novel available (fan made but very good) just look up 'mo dao zhu shi' name of the novel or 'grandmaster of demonic cultivation' its english translation...yes it is a gay romance...and the drama did their very best to avoid censorship as much as they could...recently the drama also was released in Japan with Japanese VA dubbing it...and its getting more spinoff movies due to its popularity please do watch it in tour own time if u can..altho fair warning..once u enter this series rabbit hole..u will be following every adaptation that is available..thats how good it is...and probably looking up the author for more of her works...😅😅

2020-08-21 14:09:51 +0000 UTCAaaah, I'm so glad you reacted to this show!!! Not going to lie this show is confusing. Everyone has like three names and all the family relationships are very complicated. You really have to pay attention to this one. Buuuuut the plot, the cinematography, the locations and the actors are all immaculately stunning that you really don't even notice. I was crying tears I hadn't cried since Avatar the last air bender. I believe the show was based of a novel, that was made into a comic, an anime and an audio drama it is incredibly popular. I think content is still being made from it now. In the book the main characters are gay but in the show they had to kind jump through a few hoops so that the government didn't shut it down. But alot of the romantic moments still hit it's all just very subtle.

2020-08-21 14:07:46 +0000 UTCThe problem with this show is, that you have to watch at least to episode 3. I love this show so much, but its up to you guys if you give it a chance. And by the way this show is based on a novel. In the novel the both main characters are a couple. In the show, they did an amaizing job to portray it the best they could because even if they dont say i love you, etc... in the show, you know they love each other.
