Tips on how to draw Perseus on Drafting Film

Hi all, you asked me what I'd do differently on drafting film when drawing the drum horse - mine is on pastelmat - and here are my tips :)

Hope they're useful :)

Tips on how to draw Perseus on Drafting Film

Ooh I'm not a fan of fabriano. I would say very very sharp pencils, small pencil strokes and burnish lightly between layers :)

Hi bonny and on fabriano?

Hi Deedra. when Im choosing a surface I look at the overall piece and have a think about techniques and what would work better. For me the pastelmat board suited the texture of the fur and the leather work - which there is a lot of, plus the smooth metal work. I find drafting film harder to get smoother surfaces so I chose pastelmat. If I were to re do it I would still choose pastelmat board :)

Forgive me if you answered this question. How did you decide to use pastel mat vs drafting paper? And if you could redo do it would you stay with pastelmat or switch to drafting film? I’m so intimidated by this one.
