In this version of July's beginners tutorial, I'm using white pastelmat board to create the soft undulating curves of a horses bone structure and veins.
It's a very simple short video, showing how I start off adding in colour, and then using my putty eraser to create the soft highlights.
Using minimal pencils as it's the tonal values that are most important, hopefully my techniques will help.
This is a short video just showing techniques, it goes hand in hand with the other two videos - pug wrinkles on fabriano and skin folds on drafting film.
Just a quick edit - my focus went off a bit, so apologies if you find the focus jumping around. I've hopefully sorted it out for the next video.
