Help with the Pop! noise
Added 2020-06-04 11:57:48 +0000 UTCHey all,
One dear guy is having issues with the Pop! sound. When he sets it as an alarm it basically turns into popcorn --pop pop pop pop pop -- instead of being one subtle pop. I think it's hilarious but it obviously misses the goal of being easily ignored by others!
Did this happen to anyone else? If so, how'd you fix it?
Thanks,

Oh... okay. I get it now. I have a pop! set for my text/alerts on my phone. It does that once because that's how it is programmed. For a reminder noise, I've been using an older version that has a bubble pop but includes a long silence which spaces it out. It has been on my phone for so long that I completely forgot about that editing. My ringtone is a clip of the Super Mario "he gets the flag" end music and needed silent space added to tone it down. The other went through the editing at the same time. The version that's available doesn't have much space so it keeps going. I just tried it out on my phone and, at a decent volume, it is a little like water droplets. At the wrong volume? Not so much. hehehe On the note of reminders and such -- SOME of you have messages to go do your homework. Learn something new everyday!

I remember thinking about if that was the intended behaviour but then just went along with it. π Both the default android alarm and the app I'm using have the same behaviour. Unfortunately I don't have a solution. However, I feel it's working for me. It kinda sounds like droplets of water falling on a surface so I feel it ends up fitting the theme. It's great that you find it hilarious because I've been hearing that about 4/5 times a day. On the brighter side, I NEVER miss the opportunity of being reminded of you. π
