I-LAND 2 Episode 3 - REACTION

I appreciate your concern! I've been dealing with migraines since childhood and it has only gotten worse due to the medication I've been taking for 10+ years now so it's just a normal day when it happens, usually I push through and the blurry vision goes away after 15-20 minutes :) Not ideal, but it is what it is :) Again, thank you πŸ™

Jungeun's external voice: "I can't do it!" Jungeun's internal voice: "I can do it! And I want to be main vocal!" πŸ˜… what in the Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde? πŸ˜… I really like these songs we are getting, but adding those dance breaks sounded like Teddy is butchering my fav songs tbh 😩 I hope it will be better in the full performances πŸ™ Hmm, nope, I still don't like the dance breaks. To be clear, I think it's fine to add a dance break, just not in a totally different style. Migraine? Your left eye vision is completely blurry? Wtf? Shouldn't you stop watching the screen then? Or take other measures? Health first! The Bad Boy dance break was at least a little better. Fuko really is hard-carrying here. "You're a nuisance". Damn dude. Don't try to sugarcoat it.

- I-Landers competing against each other. Interesting. Did we have that in season 1? I don't remember. - DID I JUST SEE THE OPENING MOVE FROM IZ*ONE'S PANORAMA? - Fuck it, just mix up half of the entire field, why not. - Ok, this is different. In S1 they just eliminated the entire Ground all at once in episode 7. But it looks like only a small number will be eliminated here? - Ok yeah, two. Maybe I should wait five seconds before I write my next bullet point 🀑 - I fucking knew it. Panorama! That choreo intro is just way too iconic. - Remember, The Black Label / Teddy only do production for izna. The group itself is signed to WakeOne, which previously acquired Swing Entertainment, the old management company of IZ*ONE (and IOI, Wanna One and X1; basically all the Korean Produce groups). WakeOne now also has Kep1er and ZB1. Girls and Boys Planet are essentially Produce seasons 5 and 6. And it's all directly tied to Mnet anyway, so this makes perfect sense. Lots of words to say: izna and IZ*ONE are actually somewhat related through their management companies. - Ok well, no such connection really exists towards Twice and Red Velvet πŸ˜… - Showrunners here taking a bit too much inspiration from Squid Game S1E6 πŸ’€ - I have a suspicion that Yuju is gonna get that part back after the midpoint evaluation. - IZ*ONE does have a lot of members with naturally very high pitched voices. Jungeun, talented as she may be, does not have that kind of super high voice - Oh shit, I didn't even realise that we saw Fuko before on Girls Planet. - That's honestly a bit impractical that both Ground teams have to practice in the same room simultaneously. - That's the problem with just making Jiyoon the leader without even asking her first. She clearly didn't want this and she's not really cut out for the leader role. - Yeeah, that went about as well as I expected. Yui now needs to either step up and really be better than Yuju would have been, or just give the part back to her. - This just makes me realise how STUPIDLY high the vocal range of IZ*ONE was. The notes that Eunbi, Yuri, Chaewon, Yena, etc. can hit. Hitomi and Nako are just naturally squeaky. None of that is present in the I-Land girls. And that's not even a flaw, it just speaks to how unusual IZ*ONE were. It makes sense, looking at izna's eventual debut song. It actually suits their vocal range, ergo it's nowhere near this high pitched. - Jeemin taking some notes out of Dreamcatcher's book and how they do vocal practice on treadmills. - That Whistle performance was goddamn excellent. I don't have any complaints. - Panorama was really good too but I'd probably give the win to Whistle. I could see a few of them still struggle a bit with Panorama. And I gotta be honest, this song doesn't really fit Jungeun's vocal colour. She did very good but she sounds a lot better in other songs that are more suited to her range and vocal style. - Saebi was the MVP here. - Fuko is an AMAZING leader. - Love the dance break in Bad Boy! - Vocals need work though. - I honestly thought Monika would be the harshest judge here but 24 fucking loves ripping them to shreds, doesn't he? - Yeah, that doesn't sit right with me. Showing all but one performance in this episode. Come on Mnet, there must have been a better way to cut this. - Obviously we have to take this with a grain of salt but from what Mnet have decided to show us, it seems like Jiyoon just had the completely wrong attitude about being in Ground. She should be like β€žI will go back up and I will PROVE it to themβ€œ, but instead it's all like β€žwhy the fuck am I here, this is beneath me.β€œ All spite but no actual motivation.

we can never be certain but my opinion is that all idols or trainees pay a lot of attention to their image. and know MNET very well for having followed their programs like us. so I don't think that it poses a big problem for them. I have never been surprised by the way MNET presents the different participants of their shows. it is an entertainment channel that therefore makes entertainment it amplifies the good and bad moments of a show. they put as much value on the participants that shows them vulnerable. for a long time DG you are used to it. once again it is much less shocking for me than several trashy Western reality TV shows where the participants insult each other. when the participants have a grievance against each other they "sulk" in their corner Whistle is indeed popular as a KPOP song but for a Blackpink song it is not that much. personally it's one of the Blackpink songs that I listened to the least it's just OK. and if we look at the views on you tube or the streaming on the platforms I'm not the only one to think that no match for me I'm a mega fan of Panorama if I had been one of them I would have chosen Panorama. among the grounders I would have chosen Bad boy I love this song for me one of the best of Red velvet. - yeh I was sad for Fuko and Jiyoon I love them and I would have liked to see them in the same team. - same DG I love Mai's accommodating side we see that she doesn't want to do Panorama but she thinks of Yuju before her. personally I don't believe in Karma really good people take it in the mouth the vast majority of the time while the bastards without often come out well. we'll see if for Mai Karma will be on her side. - my favorite in the I-landers was the Panorama team just because I love this song but 4 of my favorites out of 7 were in the Whistle team Sujung, Jeemin, Yuju and Sarang. so the result doesn't matter to me. - in the Whistle team I think I would have chosen Yui as a rapper even if Yuju is in my top 3 of my favorites of the show with Fuko and Saebi. Yui was recognized as the best rapper of the whole group during the selections and the song she performed was a rap of Justhis which is an incredibly difficult song. but Yuju has better gestures and a greater presence than Yui for me. - for the Panorama team it will be hard Vocally because Jo Yuri is an excellent vocal hand not easy to approach for a trainee. - seeing Jiyoon and Fuko leader of their respective teams reassured me even if one of the teams will inevitably lose against the other at least it will be a good rivalry. - in my head I was already telling myself that if Fuko was part of the final line up she would be an excellent leader for the group for several reasons she is comfortable in this role, the other girls recognize her talent as a leader and every time she was there was never any problem or conflict. the other leaders like Jiyoon or Jungeun are too sensitive or too defeatist. - for the Panorama team Jungeun, Saebi and Jiwon have the parts of Jo yuri of Yena and kwon eunbi which is very difficult to master in such a short time. moreover the basic choreography of Panorama is already very demanding and singing over it must be a challenge so adding a dance break was not necessary. - the interim checks are always a mess but that's what they're made for. I think that for the Panorama team they really have to lower the key a second time because Jungeun won't be able to reach the high note in such a short time. for the rest it's a story of work and confidence. not necessarily agree with Lee-jung yes they must have confidence but not arrogance. in panorama no member of IZ*ONE seems arrogant but they are very confident and elegant. - the performances - team Whistle very good performance overall all the girls did a good job and yes Yuju maximized her very very short screen time. - team panorama given the difficulty of the song and the choreography they did very well but for me Saebi carried the performance with Jiwon she shines on stage she is an excellent center and yes she has a vibe halfway between IU and Jang Wonyoung. yes Jungeun has a bit of a hang-up in the song but overall it was a good performance. to be objective given the difficulty of the song compared to Whistle I think team Panorama deserves to win. -team bad boy this song is perfect for Fuko she's a lookalike of Irene she looks like her in many ways, same kind of grace, same kind of leader she seems calm and composed and not carried away by emotions or stress. all the girls did a good job but I only had eyes for Fuko she was just perfect.

thanks for the reaction cant wait for next ones, one week seems long. I personally liked panorama most and i think its about the song not the girls, the energy provided through that performance was better than whistle cause of the song. In this particular episode i liked fuko and jungeun (first one for the leadership and choi for the vocals and the overall performance) and seabi stood out a lot she has that idol aura in her when she is performing
