Another Chibi Miku (PNG)

Finally finished. Well, drawing Miku is quite a favorite thing to do.

So, the prototype. A subject that I wrote yesterday. What is it then?

To be straight, nobody can make things out of thin air. The things they draw need to have a prototype. Something that given an inspiration, something to start with.

For example, if you want to draw a bottle, you can do it in two way. One, you take a bottle you like to draw, use it as a model, then draw it (use real life model). Or two, you draw it from your own memory (use imaginary).

Each method given its own benefit. By using real life model, you can observe it first hand and receive a full experience. It is the most recommended and professional method to draw something. The result of work will be better exponentially overtime if keep practicing correctly.

The downside of this method? Simple, it's really expensive and time consuming. Sometime you need to observe the model you want to draw and practicing for a very long time (maybe years) to completely master over it. Many people are given up before they can actually do a proper workpiece due to either debt or art fatigue.

Now, imaginary. The good things about it is ther is no need to acquire a model. You can look at some movie or picture (inspiration) and use your brain power to fill in the missing part. It is cheap and personal driven than the first, required less tools and investment.

The downside? You will miss a lot of detail and change to improve yourself. At some point, your skill will not be better nor improve and will stuck at some kind of weird artstyle. The problem that was encountered by all "anime artist" out there, which I will talk about it later.

It is better to use both method to draw something to fill in each other disadvantage. However, sometime it is better to live in reality and acknowledge the gravity of the situation...

Like I said before this post, I was looking for the "prototype" of my future character. Too bad I was expecting too much from a cheap and scandalous dating app, even my bar is quite low. I was looking for a friendly, down-to-earth, smart and humble characteristic individual, even for a tiny bit of faction of it. But turned out they are all prideful, ignorant, fake, full of themselves, and lunacy. All qualities that I have already observed and experienced from the inside and outside.

So, I think I will use my current "prototype" for awhile from now on. No no, there is no real life model for me even I used to try many time before, but at least I only got only a faction of it thought some... hiring or by using 3D program, and I think it is enough for me. I will just refine it to something useful.

However, my current "prototype" is pretty much nothing more than a Frankenstein's corpse monster, sewing together with everything I think it is good qualities. The result is not the best, but at least it works at some degree. At least I tried.
