Oh wow this is actually perfect timing cause the newest four episodes of Code for you they’re back in Australia and there’s some reminiscing so you’ll have the context.
And the only show they’ve actually made it to (I think) is Knowing Brothers which they parodied on one of the bus rides. 😂

About the fish and chips…. Don’t forget that Australia was a British colony (penal colony in the beginning technically) before gaining independence so there’s gonna be a lot of British influence.

Side note though, I do wonder why some people choose to say ess kay zee. It's extra syllables. Extra breath. 🤣 But, maybe they just like the way it rolls off the tongue.
One of my English teacher's favorite words was cellar door just because of how it felt in the mouth to say. There's a random share. 🤣

You're not the only one who says skzee. There are other Stays who do reactions who say it that way. It's more an accent than an incorrect pronunciation, IMO. Kinda like in the States. In the midwest we say car and in the northeast they say cah. Same word. Just an accent/dialect thing.
Stray Kids say SKIZ, but if it's easier for you to say SKZEE in your accent, then that's cool.
The only words in the world that have a correct pronunciation are proper names and the pronunciation is determined by the person who owns the name. And SKZ is an acronym/nickname, not the proper name. Stray Kids is the name. Otherwise, words sound different in every corner of the world. Makes life more interesting and beautiful!
