BLACKPINK - Lisa W/ Tyla Rolling Stone/ Jennie 'Mantra' MCountdown/ Rosé Puppy Interview

I really agree with everything you've said here. There are several groups I really like and several I don't. But I'm not going out of my way to diss any group I don't like. I just don't listen. Agree with your take on Lisa's new projects. I became a K-pop fan due to the fact I don't like that other music. So while I will listen to her new stuff once to see if I like it. So far I haven't. On the other hand, with Rose' I just love her voice. So I will like whatever she does. But can't wait for BP and their comeback. I too am a Jisoo stan.

- the subject is interesting, DG the kpop industry literally lives thanks to the fandom of the different artists in the industry. nowhere else in the world is the phenomenon as strong. it is the greatest strength but also the greatest source of conflict. - I can understand that for people new to or foreign to this industry it is too demanding, it requires investment. many people also find it very toxic. but it is the same in all areas if we take sports and soccer for example the supporters are incredibly hateful and toxic towards the supporters and the opposing teams. insults and unacceptable remarks are made at all matches. yet for most people it is normal to hear this in soccer matches. - as for kpop groups I think it is normal to have favorites we have all our favorite groups. and I do not find it shocking either that people like certain members of a group and less the others. people are free to express themselves, they just have to do it without animosity. - I myself am a huge fan of blackpink since their beginning and my biases have changed according to the ERA and I liked each of the members a little more than the others at a given time. it started like many with Jennie who was my favorite for at least the first 2 years of the group. then Lisa during the kill this love period. then Jisoo during Blackpink house, then Rose during How you like that (Silver hair rosie is the best). and then slowly my preference solidified and stopped on Jisoo definitively. since the girls broke their individual contracts and started their different solo projects I admit to being totally disinterested in Lisa's projects which are for my taste too far from the genre I like. but of course I still love her and I can't wait to see Blackpink as a group again. Jisoo and Rose have projects that speak to me much more. as for Jennie I simply love her which doesn't prevent me from being critical. I like Jennie's promotions in South Korea I like her solo project. but I'm not a fan of her latest MV even if I like the song. - but yesDG I think that everyone who follows you has noticed that you don't really like getting into this kind of thing. you don't seem like the type to join a fandom and defend your group to the death LOL. you are like many I think a multi stan. you like most groups and music in general. I always thought that to have a channel that talks about kpop you had to be consensual precisely so as not to offend this or that fandom. that's the reason why I never started my own channel (I'm much too direct and I couldn't help but say if I like a song or not, if I like a group or not). and I could not censor myself. - but I agree with you I am often dismayed by certain hateful comments I wonder if certain people have a life. how can we throw up on certain people to this extent and in particular very young idols. how can we wish harm to idols of 13 or 14 years old ????? people are very very hard. but know the dark side of KPOP it has always existed and even if we would all like it to change I am afraid that it will not be tomorrow.

You'll have to record the drilling and make an edm track out of it. 🤣

Of course you're right about when you have more fans, you'll also get more bad apples. BUT in addition to that, when the bad apples find each other, that's when the bad apples REALLY become bad imo. So, the badness is like an exponential thing or something. When Lisa spoke of her acting debut, it made me think back to her appearance on the show "The Real Men 300", and I wonder if you've ever reacted to that? 🤔 With Jennie on M Countdown is yet another example where you can really see that experience can make quite a difference. I find that fascinating. You can't really put your finger on what it is exactly. It's not something you can learn, but you DO notice the difference. I was looking forward to your reaction to this puppy interview 😊

To Jennie doing Korean shows, what did I tell you? (pats elf on back) ;) Lisa and Rose' are separating them selves from K-pop and Korea in a definitive way, but Jennie is still a a Korean girl - she spent most of her life there, her Mom's there, etc. Jisoo is the one who's focus is mainly on Korea - she's doing so many acting roles in Korean dramas, movies, adaptations, etc. Rose' used to be kind of shy in these situations, but since Born Pink, she's turned into a fantastic public speaker - she seems to be , not just relaxed, but actually enjoying herself. I'm preeety sure Rose' can afford that dress. ;) Lastly, Rose' just keeps getting cuter. Great content, thanks. Sorry for the double post, this stupid typing system here screws me up every time. ;)

A point on the toxic fans. Most fans don't comment, or belong to groups. They just enjoy the content and go on with their lives. For instance, you can have a video with 30k views, but 2-300 comments. I'm pretty sure that the girls individual channels are theirs and YG has no part of it. Even if they did, I'd expect that they got total control over any of that sort of thing in this last contract - it wouldn't be something that YG would want to argue over, considering. ;)
