My take on the principal is that he didn't want his reputation to look bad to allow bullying in his school so that's why he wanted Dongeun's mom to say "maladjustment " so he's not at fault. I always believed that the nurse was fired or forced out because she was sympathetic to Dongeun and Yeonjin couldn't stand it. It was too coincidental for the main bully to be there in the nurse's office at the same time.

2024-11-13 21:59:10 +0000 UTCI've thought about watching this show many times. Song Hye-Kyo is a great actress but the idea of watching kids get tortured made me not watch it yet. I assumed that this would be your next pick so I'm happy it won the poll so we can finally check it out. By the end of the first episode it seems we've caught up to the present but I have a feeling we'll get more bullying flashbacks throughout the rest of the show. I always enjoy a good revenge plot so I'm hoping that the scheming will start next episode. There's bullying everywhere but it seems to me that the unique thing with Korean bullying is that the teachers actively enable it. In America I believe that most teachers honestly want to help and even if there's no proof they can keep an eye on you as the bullying usually happens when the teachers aren't around. But in all of these Kdramas the teachers don't just turn a blind eye to it but they support the bullies. The teacher didn't want her to withdraw her resignation he just wanted her to rewrite it without the students names. I still can't believe that he actually hit her in front of all of the other teachers over and over again. That nurse was the only nice person in that school and she "abandoned" our main character. The main difference between this and My Name is that she knows who the targets of her revenge are.

Are we back in Strangers from Hell? - Okay, this show gets IMMEDIATE style points. - Great, we're like 15 minutes into the first episode and I already hate multiple people. - Dong-eun in 2004 is played by the same actress as Park Da-hye in Parasite. The daughter of the rich family. - School full of bullies. And I'm not just talking about the other students. - In a way this reminds me of My Name. Protagonist laser focused on revenge over the course of many years.

2024-10-28 23:38:33 +0000 UTCok so we stay on the rather dark shows. I love it, well no surprise The Glory was going to win sooner or later so here we are. I think people exaggerated a little the show is dark but no more or less than shows of this style. the subject is sensitive because it talks about harassment but we have a very large number of dramas that talk about this subject. however it talks very well about the subject and goes quite far. - what is out of the ordinary with the harassment in this series is that it is permanent. in other dramas of this type the harassment is academic the harassers do not harass their victims at home, the victims have times when they do not go to school, they have parents or friends. but Dong-eun is alone, she lives in a precarious situation and she is harassed in her own apartment she has nowhere to hide. and the other original point is that we actually follow Dong eun and these harassers when they are adults. Yeon-jin's little girl is just adorable, it's incredible that her mother had a daughter like that as you say DG the crazy, the murdered, the harassers and the rapists also have children. and we must not blame them (they are probably victims too). - the teacher is the worst I think he deserves death even more than the bullies because he is supposed to be someone who educates, who protects and who sets an example. this guy disgusts me, the mother and the stepfather too. all piles of shit. - all agree the young actress Dong-eun looks a bit like Kim Sejeong. sometimes she looks a bit like Hanni from New Jeans. - and once again Korean drama shows how far we are light years away from other industries when it comes to dealing with female characters. all our dramas with women as main characters are super well written. each time the characters are credible and we have empathy for them. - I was lucky to go to good schools and universities. I was not harassed nor were any of my friends, I never witnessed a situation where someone was harassed either. in my time there was harassment but much less than now. and I have no idea how cruel the harassers could be. - LOL DG yes "KILL HIM and KILL HIM TO " Kill them all. - honestly Dong-eun has been through hell at this point it wouldn't be surprising if she became a merciless serial killer. all of society turned against her it's even surprising that she survived.

I couldn’t help teared for the (LF) young version of herself just being let down by everyone including her mom. Just sad AF! The fact that this was based on true events (the bullying,burning etc) makes it more difficult n a lot more gripping. Honestly I thought I was over this feeling since I have already watched it….but what an incredible storytelling on this writers. Bravo for making feel this all over again. So happy you are actually doing this reaction I’m sure it will be an incredible journey watching along with all of u again. Can’t wait! To summarize it, this is my only thought….”next episode please” 🙏 lol
