2024-09-03 11:05:14 +0000 UTCYou're not supposed to think that Do Gangjae the dumb fuck is dead. Choi Mujin said that he'd only maim him and expel him from the organization. Then he told the rest of the organization that Gangjae murdered Jiwoo and gave her the new identity. I don't think Mujin wanted Jiwoo to get assaulted but he knew that if she pursued this life of violence it would be a likely possibility. He already saved her once from those guys in the alley and he was hoping that his men would be too scared of him to mess with her since he brought and introduced her directly. Tae Ju the driver/right hand man has been against JIwoo joining the organization from the start. I think he was just trying to convince her to quit. Jiwoo/Hyejin has been training for years at this point with the sole focus of getting revenge and we can see Han So Hee doing the fighting herself so I buy that she can beat all those guys up especially with a weapon. With the competition at the beginning she had been training for months with personal lessons from the boss so I didn't have a problem with her winning. Like you said if the show was going to stay in that space for a while then yeah she could have lost and won later but that's not the focus of the show and they needed to finish the "prologue" and get to present day asap. I forgot how short this show is. Watching these reactions just makes me want to open netflix and binge the show again :) I loved the reaction as always!
