- The more we find out, the more we understand why the mum is so bitter. Everything is just so messed up. - Choi Jae-seop. A man of incredible integrity. - I'm a mess. Seeing Hyeon-su cry at seeing Eun-ha again is making me cry too πŸ₯Ί - It's wild how this show keeps changing. Always going into a different direction than you'd expect. - Welp, rip to the housekeeper. - Aaand there it is. β€œI can fix him” - Just all around scheming and out-scheming the other party - You know, I love shows where everyone is in on all the secrets and they're just working together.

Episodes 11 and 12 are incredible, they are the best of the series not only for the revelations they bring but also for the questions they ask. - to answer your question DG I think I come from a family that would have acted like Baek Hee-seong's mother if I had been a killer my mother would have reported me to the police or would have tried to arrest me. just as I would do with my children if they had to take someone's life for free out of pure madness or cruelty. our family is loving but we do not forgive this kind of thing our education prohibits all forms of violence except if it is to defend ourselves. if one of my children kills someone to protect someone they love obviously I would protect them including against justice - at this point in the show I was even wondering if Baek -hee-seong wasn't just the serial killer that everyone believes to be Hyeon-su's father. and that the father was the accomplice. what made me think that is that it's Hee-seong who has the "trophies" normally a serial killer keeps the trophies for himself and doesn't let an accomplice have them. -the whole journey of the Baek family is incredible: the mother discovers that her son is a serial killer, tries to kill him, saves the last victim, and gives him the identity of her son to save appearances. but despite everything, keeping the existence of his son hidden and these murders all while keeping him in a coma for years is just completely crazy. the mother is indeed the most human of the group. - as for the father it is clear that he has no morals he just wants to preserve his position even if it means cheating, camouflaging and protecting his son, I think that for him Hyeon-su is only collateral damage and that he can use it as you see fit. - it is certain that the psychologist has responsibility for having done her job poorly. but again we don't know how many times she saw him. and in my Eyes Jiwon (even if I adore her) is equally responsible if not more she is married to Hyeon -su she has been around him every day for years. and she didn't see anything either, she was even completely blinded by her love. because Hyeon-su himself told her several times that he was not a "normal" person. Hyeon-su's anti-social behavior especially when he was young was easily visible but she ignored it. - it is clear that detective Choi understood that Hyeon-su was covering for someone it is likely that he understood that he was covering for his sister -no DG I think that your understanding of the show is very relevant to the information you have at the moment. but this could actually change over time because there are a few episodes left and you are not at the end of your surprises. even I don't share your understanding of Hyeon-su's vision of what love is. He wasn't misdiagnosed for me, he did have a lack of empathy in the past anyway and for a good number of years, the problem was more that they didn't treat him. in the sense that you are right DG, Hyeon-su just needed a maternal image to teach him or at least show him what love is. but it's not irreversible I think that actually the years he spent with Jiwon have shaped him a little even if despite everything he still had difficulty expressing this kind of feeling in a natural way. Now that Jiwon knows about everything I'm sure she can fix this kind of thing. and that Hyeon-su will be able to show love in a more β€œnatural” way. - you see DG the reflection you make is right for my analysis which clearly demonstrates that Hyeon-su lacks basic empathy and that he still needs time. if he had feelings for his sister for example he would have thought of this type of thing immediately he would have actually called her to say "hey sis everything is fine don't worry" but he is incapable of worrying about that at the moment . - and indeed what Jiwon says makes sense and demonstrates that my reasoning is correct if Hyeon-su took his sister's murder on his shoulders it is precisely because he would not be affected by the hatred that people could feel towards him back in a day because when you lack empathy you don't feel hatred either or at least it doesn't affect you. Someone who is kind and compassionate like Hae-su would probably have been broken. already has a lot of trouble living like her.
