How to draw : Anime Eyes (Basic)

One of the reason why anime is so successful is its eyes. Anime eyes have its own charm. They are adaptable, easy to be made, and somewhat looking good.
So the procedure is :
1 ) Draw an eyes level (or just a straight line for a beginner). Then draw upper eyelids. Try to keep it on the line first.
2 ) Draw irises (the color part of the eye).
3 ) Extend upper eyelid downward to make it looks good. Then draw the eyelash area (red).
4 ) Draw pupils. Keep it off center a bit to make them focusing.
Note :
- Use paper with straight lines like note paper to practicing drawing eyes is recommended.
- if the pupil is in a perfect center - the eye will lose its focus, which is not how human eyes normally do (people tend to look at something with both of their eyes, not separate their eyes to look at two things). Except when you want the character to look like a derp.
- Some people may use 2 extra lines to indicate how upper and lower of the eyes should be, but I'm not recommend that since most beginner would get confused real quick for too many indicating line. And extra drafting line means extra work to clean it up!
- Keep both of irises at the same size or balancing. A lot of practice cam help you that.
- Practicing to use your eyes alone to compare both of the eyes is balance or not is recommended.
- You don't need to make a perfect look alike with eyes in this demonstration. Use you own designed eyes that suit you well, if you may!
- Don't make both of the eyes too far to each other. You will end up with fish eyes (not necessary to be ugly, but mostly they will). Also don't make it too close to each other.
- Approximately, the eyes should be far apart of each other at 3/4 of its own width. But it may not be necessary if the elements of overall eyes is good enough.
Challenge :
- Keep practicing drawing anime eyes for at least 50 pairs at this angle (no deadline). See if you are getting better at handling with your pencil yet.
Maybe if you are kind, showing the result to me as well so... I don't know how to reward you lovely Patrons for that, but I just wanna reach up to Patrons too, you know...
