I really appreciated the artists that were invited weren't the same as every other award show. I don't think I've ever seen DC or Kard or Oneus at an award show before. NMIXX loved the vocals but the outfits were weird. Sonar's okay. I need them to perform the nursery rhyme song at one of these :) Kepler 100% agree that they need to do a dark concept before this is over. all of these survival shows do both bright and dark concepts during the show and Xiaoting, Hikaru, Yujin, and several others did well during the show with dark performances so I'm not sure why wakeone decided to only go the bright route with the final group. Oneus Hwanwoong did a duet stage with Chaeyeon last year at the RBW concert that was pretty great. Seeing as you appreciated his "floor work" you'd probably like it :) Thank god Lee Do had some bandages on under that excuse for a shirt. Someone in the audience might have had a heart attack otherwise. Lee Youngji I still can't believe she's playing naneun Lee Youngji. She's so cool. Dreamcatcher So glad they're performing at an awards show but I'm still not a fan of OOTD. Shatter is slightly better I guess but still not great. I love so many songs from them from earlier last year that I would have loved to hear. They looked incredible though and sounded great! Kard I can't believe they performed Cake on a Korean broadcast. Icky's good but Cake is my favorite of their recent stuff and one of the wildest choreos of the year. Somin is a real problem. Kwon Eunbi I like Flash but Underwater is one of the best songs from last last year! I was never really into Izone but Eunbi was my bias in that group. I checked in with each of her solos but none really stuck with me until Underwater. I barely listened to it in 2022 since it came out towards the end of the year but I listened to it a crazy amount in 2023. Her live vocals here were great! I was very impressed. As for the Waterbomb festival as others have mentioned the whole point is to wear a swimsuit or similar beach attire. She is uh very talented! Le Sserafim Damn Sakura's outfit is fire!!! Perfect Night is good but not really the vibe I'm seeking regularly so I was hyped when boom boom boom remix 15,824 started. The way they blended the two songs was interesting. BSS I don't even like boy groups and I watched this stage on my own several times. This was incredible! Kim Sejeong You know if your back arrow key just happens to glitch out whenever she's on screen I'd totally understand. Faulty electronics am I right. I'm glad that she got to participate in the best performance of the night :) For several of these stages I just watched the 4k fixed cam version so I didn't really notice the camera work the first time around. It was not anywhere on MAMAs level so that was nice. I don't mind you discussing the camera work as we're here for your reaction. I believe there's still the golden disc awards after MBC. I never get tired of seeing this choreo. even if this time they decided to change it. and of course they are all very beautiful but Sakura still rules at my top. and I pray that one day FINALLY Produce 101 and 48 will be chosen in a pool so that you fall even more in love with Sakura, Chaewon, Yunjin but also Yujin, Wonyoung etc... -The BOYZ very good performance much better filmed than on SBS which actually screwed up on the production of Chrismas Gayo Daejejeon. I admit I was surprised, they are usually very good at producing inkigayo. -Stray Kids the real kings are here they had an incredible year they worked like crazy to release incredible albums for us Maniac, Top line, Megaverse, Hall of fame are my favorite SKZ songs this year. frankly they would have deserved more awards this year at least one award for Album of the year. and one for Artist of the year. - Seventeen incredible how they electrified the crowd, I loved the interaction with Sejeong and they released their biggest hits of the year honestly Seventeen and Stray kids had the best performances of the evening they controlled the crowd like no other groups can do it.

This ceremony is special because it gives the chance to groups who are not generally invited to the big events which generally invite the most popular groups of the year. This event gives the opportunity to shine to groups like Lapillus, Tempest, Kard, Dreamcatcher, Oneus or Akmu which are groups that deserve more exposure. - congratulations to the production and the cameraman who followed the artists perfectly. and were able to clearly see that the artists were singing live (this is not always the case in this type of ceremony) - yes this is the first big event for lapillus. and yes I found them very comfortable. yes it would be very funny and cool to see Golberg come out from the back of the stage and appear in the smoke behind the girls. - I was pleasantly surprised by tempestt they are really full of energy. - Nmixx yes it looks very jungle. this reminds me of a red velvet song "ZOO" -Kep1st they have just celebrated their 2nd anniversary and normally I should be sad because as it is a temporary group they should be not far from the end of their contract. but Wake one announced that for the first time in the history of temporary groups Kep1er could have a contract extension because the respective agencies of each member do not oppose it. and wake one believes that the popularity and success of Kepl1er fully justifies the option to extend their contract if the members agree. I agree with you DG Yujin's haircut suits her, probably the best cut for her. but I can't take my eyes off Xiao Ting she's just too gorgeous -Oneus finally have their sights in a big event. for a group that started around the same time as SKZ or Ateez and who had the same potential at the start, I think they stayed too far behind the other two. while they are full of talents. - Youngji as usual our national Youngji ate the stage she even performed with her award in her hands. DG you should react to Youngji & Yujin's performance at New Year's Gayo Daejejeon. not the Christmas show they sing "BORN THIS WAY" - Kang Daniels seeing him on stage makes me nostalgic I miss Wanna One all like I.O.I or IZONE. he's a beast on stage, he's very charismatic, a slightly younger version of Taemin. -Dreamcatcher so happy that they won another award this year. little by little the bird makes its nest. as always they are captivating and magnificent. yes Gahyeon eyesbrow is legendary "if you smell what Gahyeon is cooking" she will wipe our candy ass. -KARD it's been a long time since I saw them live. They still have so much excitement when they perform / Jiwoo & Soojin are still a killer combination / probably the sexiest female idols of the night. -STAYC I love the contrast between KARD and STAYC we had a truly mature and sexy performance, and just behind we have the exact opposite with a very cute and joyful STAYC performance. yes their jumps are too cute their smile is contagious. -Yes Sejeong was there to accept awards but I was also disappointed that she didn't perform Top or cliff. - yes the Waterboom festival is always the opportunity to have photos that become viral or controversial because the Idols come dressed in a less "wise" way because they are always wet every year an idol goes viral this year it was Eunbi, before it was Bibi, or Jennie, Hani, Séolhyun etc... -the celebrity awards were won by among others Wonyoung, Sakaguchi, LESSERAFIM, NEWJEANS -popularity awards by Sejeong, Junho, Sakurazaka and Lim young woon -best creator artsit 3 RACHA -Potential awards Lapillus, ATBO, paul blanco -Rookie awards Zero base one -Best choice awards Kang Daniels, Youngji, Boys next door. NMIXX, Dindin, Dreamcatcher -best acting Suho, Kim young dae, Sejeong, Moon ga young -AAA fabulous awards Stray kids, New jeans, Lim young woon -AAA best musician awards Kwon eunbi, Kard, Stayc, Sakurazaka, Zero base one. -AAA best actor awards Sejeong, An hyo seop, Lee dong whi AAA best performance LESSERAFIM AAA best artist IVE, LESSERAFIM, AKMU, THE BOYS -AAA Daesang best performer of the year Seventeen AAA Daesang Stage of the year Stray kids AAA Daesang album of the year Seventeen AAA Daesang singer of the year New jeans - KWON EUNBI I love it Flash is one of my favorite solo songs this year and Under water my favorite from last year. Very happy for her I'm always happy when a former member of IZONE accomplishes something. -New jeans, what more can I say, they still leave with a boatload of awards. yes I would also have liked them to perform God

Definitely my top 3 boy group this year (behind only stray kids and enhypen). Besides that, their storyline ties together with enhypens so it’s extremely fun and engaging to follow them two at the same time. There are 4 members in the group who participated in the really show that formed Enhypen (I-Land) so for us who watched the show is really emotional to see them now after everything they went through to get where they are. Hope you get the opportunity to check them out, you won’t regret it! 🤍

Their whole concept and storyline is super cool. Each member represents a real king from history and they just finished season 1 of their arc. Where each king/member got an album and title track dedicated to them. That was 7 releases and now they're entering the next chapter. - MBC playlist in your DMs right now! SB19 - I've never taken the time to check out SB19 before. I was aware of them but AAA was my first proper exposure. - Not much to say other than I like their intense energy and I'm VERY intrigued to properly check them out soon! - Also it's pretty cool that a big Filipino group got one of the first performances at the award show held in the Philippines :) - I also caught a few of their acceptance speeches. I really admire how humble they are and Pablo seems like a great leader. Lapillus - Must have been awesome for Chanty to perform at this huge stage in jer home country. - I think they've also been at AAA 2022. - I actually vastly prefer this remix over the original. TEMPEST - Yes, you've seen their debut song Bad News but nothing else. They've had quite a few comebacks since then. Here they're performing their newest title track Vroom Vroom and its b-side Dive. - That Tempest×Kep1er performance you're thinking of was at MBC 2022. - If you want recommendations to catch up on Tempest, my favourite title tracks are Dragon and Dangerous :) - I love Dive. IVE pun not intended. NMIXX - Yes the live vocals! - Haewon doing a lot here - This bridge goes wild! Kep1er - These outfits are enough to give anyone a short brain malfunction - Kep1er sadly only have 6 months left as a group. I don't know if we're gonna get that dark concept you're hoping for. - But seeing that intro and that dance break, I really want them to fully commit to this for a comeback as well! - Their stylists deserve a raise. Kep1er's looks have been consistently amazing at all these awards shows. MBC too, you'll see! ONEUS - I got to see Leedo do those body rolls in person and I haven't been the same since. - Leedo sir, put your shirt back on! Not that it was covering much to begin with but still 😶🌫️ Lee Youngji - Just her flaunting around her new trophy 😄 - And going down to sit with BSS ❤️ - Youngj is such a treasure. She just makes me happy with everything she does. ZEROBASEONE - Sadly Ricky couldn't be here due to visa issues. - The Crush remix 🔥 Kim Jaejoong - He also talked about his 20th anniversary in his acceptance speech and how grateful he is about what he was able to accomplish. Of course he didn't state it outright but I believe he has a lot of gratitude towards Changmin and Yunho as well :) - The songs he performed are called One Kiss and Mine. - That's the SM vocal factory for you - I'm glad you decided to include this! - Nmixx Jiwoo had the same face as me when I saw this for the first time 😂 - Not bad for someone who was essentially blacklisted from the Korean music industry by SM. DINDIN - Crazy how different he looks without his glasses. - I watched Good Girl without knowing that Dindin is actually a singer too. I was pretty surprised to see him here. The songs are called I'm not myself when I'm around you and Foolin' Myself. Dreamcatcher - THEY ARE FINALLY COMING BACK TO EUROPE WOOOOOOOOOO - Actual Art. - Why is AAA the only award show that DC was invited to? They should be at all of them! - They practice singing on treadmills, that's how they're so stable. - And happy birthday to Yoohyeon! KANGDANIEL - Interesting that he didn't perform anything from his new album. Instead opting for Selfish and Nirvana which both came out in late 2022. - His was also the first concert I went to in 2023. Really good show! KARD - Losing your train of thought at the mere presence of Kard is so relatable lmao - I think it's safe to say that Kard are the most explicit group in all of Kpop. Especially with BM's lyrics on ATAP. I'm not gonna say anything else, you just gotta react to the song yourself ;) - I'm keeping my comment on Kard short. I don't want to say anything unholy. STAYC - EU tour announced today, meaning I'll probably see them in March :) - Indeed it would have been great to see Sejeong perform Top or Cliff here but she only attended to accept some awards. Kwon Eunbi - Slightly confused at her song choice. Underwater came out in October 2022. Not complaining because I love the song but wouldn't it make more sense to perform The Flash which actually did come out in 2023? - And yes, the festival performances she had last year were quite something - Eunbi knows exactly how gorgeous she is and by god, is she gonna use it - ✨️ W O M E N ✨️ NewJeans - A lot of breathing noises. I noticed it too. - I thought ETA was pretty annoying at first but I might have Stockholm Syndrome'd myself into liking it with all the award shows 😂 My favourite NJ song remains Ditto however, with ASAP in second place. - They performed Gods at the League of Legends Worlds 2023 Finals Opening Ceremony. Probably to go with Suhyun's hoodie :D - It's all just really nice and wholesome :) ITZY - Kill Shot is THAT bitch. - They really gotta do more of that sort of sound. The new comeback has me hopeful! - The Great Korean Bake Off THE BOYZ - We've seen a lot of performances of Watch It so I'll just say that my favourite part is the wind up into the second chorus. - The nice thing about atrocious camera work is that it makes you appreciate the good camera work that much more. Stray Kids - How are their voices even MORE forceful when performing live? - Just casually turning an award show into a SKZ concert. - Demon Hyunjin is a known problem Seventeen BSS - Guy in glasses seems slightly confused 😂 - But I'll take any excuse to see more Sejeong - This performance makes me so unreasonably happy. They way they involve everyone in the audience! - YOUNGJIYAAAA - If it wasn't already clear, BSS delivered my favourite performance of this show and it's not even close. It's pure fun and happiness distilled to perfection. Amazing crowd control. EVERYONE was standing up and dancing. What I would give to experience that in person! 2024-01-03 16:26:33 +0000 UTCLapillus - You're right that they haven't performed at many award shows, but they've only been around for 1.5 years, so it's not that strange. - Because they are, like, the only group that has ever covered a Dreamcatcher song, they have a special place in my heart ☺️ - I really like Shana's outfit - Argh, only 1 song. So short 😩 (this goes for a lot of performers though. They chose to have more performers over having more songs, which is fine). - Ok, now that we have seen Lapillus' performance, tell me who's next 😏 Tempest - "Nice camerawork". Yup, AAA had (one of) the best camerawork! Simple but effective. - 2 totally different concepts and I must say, they did great in both. NMIXX - Just look at the maknae being put in the center position at the start, oozing confidence. I just always love how badass Kyujin('s dancing) is. - I'm still not a fan of Soñar's chorus. - Since they mixed in some "Love me like this" parts, I was hoping they would switch to that. But instead they continued with Soñar. I was teased and let down a bit. Kep1er - Yes, a darker concept would be awesome. - This mature stage anyway shows off they can pull it off. - Love the outfits Oneus - "He just violated that floor. I'm afraid to take it back because...", he might do it again? 😅 Young Ji - So hype! That woke me (and the audience) up! - I only wished she would've sung the chorus at least once herself (instead of the backing track). Is she still shy to sing her own name...? - 21 years old and totally owning every stage. Zerobaseone - You weren't tripping. Han Bin wasn't in the performance at all, probably since he was the host. JaeJoong - His vocal slides didn't sound that pleasant to me. Just my opinion. - Loved the rock and live band though. - I know he has a variety show called "JaeFriends" where he cooks for a guest. I've seen (at least) the episode with Moonbyul. I can recommend it 👍 Dreamcatcher - Dami especially was deadly on the red carpet 🥵 - I saw articles about Jiu's "teleporting" ability 😅 since she was singing in the audience and the next moment she was singing on stage. Spoiler: it wasn't teleportation. - I'm in the camp that doesn't like Shatter that much, so I hoped for anything else really (like Rising, with that band 😱, or maybe even get the crowd going with We Are Young). But there's a lot of people who absolutely love Shatter, so, good for them 👍 KARD - So nice to see them on an Award stage. - Yeah, I would also love to see some audience reactions. Just to see if they liked it to have some cake in their face 😅 Stayc - Yeah, always so much fun and great vocals. - The outfits were kind of meh Kwon Eunbi - "her outfit got wet". Each year there's the Waterbomb festival in the summer, where the artists get sprayed with water, and they can waterblast the audience too. It's great fun. And Eunbi has been dubbed the queen of Waterbomb (Hyuna was previously), and rightfully so 🥵 - She looked great and sounded great, and the dancers made a nice show 👍 - Yeah, I'm all for it when artists choose what to perform instead of defaulting to their latest song. New Jeans - Yeah, I don't know what was up with the mics here, but that's A LOT of breathing/hair/clothes noise. I hadn't noticed this when I watched the show tbh. And I'm still not noticing it with the other artists. - Yeah, New Jeans have performed SO MUCH. Respect. - Speaking of respect, Wonyoung was one of the hosts in this grueling 6 hour(!) show. She then took a plane back to Korea to host the KBS Global Festival the next day 🫡🙌 Le Sserafim - I agree with everything you said: great performance, great vocals while dancing, amazing how the Eve song can still sound fresh, etc. Akmu - Another artist that doesn't get to perform a lot on big stages. It's probably the best thing about this 6 hour show. - Almost their 10 year anniversary. ITZY - Kill Shot. "This is a super hype performance to start with". Exactly what they did in their showcase. - A cake-off? 😅 Might as well start calling it cake-pop The Boyz - They always bring it Stray Kids - Suddenly so many idols with that nosebridge jewelry 🤔 - Yeah, the idol interactions are what I live for. - Yup, less pyrotechnics, less laser lights, or other spectacular stuff, yet the great camerawork still made it entertaining. Seventeen - Love all the idols just having a great time. - Also thankful for Dreamcatcher to experience this, at least once. - I can't imagine how hot they must have been being SO energetic while wearing those suits. - What a great ending performance 🤩 Best performance for me.
