Hey, cakes! Hope you're having a good weekend!
The new art's still coming in thick and fast, so there's a lot of new content I want to talk about ahead of next week's early access release~ This time we have yet another ending CG, which I think means more of the written story paths have one than not now? That's really cool!
So yes, Devotion path. This one's certainly an uncomfortable journey of male entitlement framed as a revenge quest, as Kyou uses his newfound powers to twist the minds of Nozomi and her friends one by one until they'll never think to ignore him ever again ;_;
By the end, Kyou's drunk on power and pettiness, and among the things he's used it for is to start a new after school club dedicated to worshipping him. With the poor girls reduced to being his overeager groupies they're excited to do absolutely anything for him. So when he tells them to "recruit" more people for his cult... ural social gathering, they're more than happy about the prospect of pleasing him further.
I think my artist did another great job here. Like, I didn't want to go all out on the insanity? So the three of them standing around looking happy might look innocent at first glance but there's definitely something... off about them. Their smiles are a little too wide. Their eyes a little too vacant. Also Hiroko kinda looks like the cutest vampire with those fangs but we're hoping moving her a little closer to the camera to distort her face a little bit will put her back into vaguely unsettling territory with the others.
This CG is also going to go along with a slight rewrite of the ending itself, so as to better fit the image. Look forward to seeing both completed next weekend!
