Art Update - Robot Route Ending CG

Note - As usual with these art updates, there may be MASSIVE SPOILERS ahead. This post concerns the main ending of the Robot path, describing it in heavy detail, so you may want to skip this post if you haven't read it yet.

You remember when I said I'd make a CG of one of the happy endings eventually? Well guess what?

I'm still saying it. 

For now though, I'd like to present a preview of the CG art I did get commissioned. As I teased in my early access post from the weekend, I know a few fans were asking for this and I had the concept drafted out in my head so it felt like the time was right to have some pictorial representation for the most messed-up ending in the game as it stands.

So it's the final scene and Kyou, having conditioned all three of the leading ladies into thinking they're his robot servants, is having a little crisis of confidence. In order to manage the guilt of what he's done to these poor girls, he's essentially fought hard to convince himself that they really are secretly robots passing off as humans before he got hold of them. Really, his powers of self-delusion are legendary, but let's go along with it.

Still, every now and then the fragile reality he's constructed in his head is threatened. Fortunately for him, he has a way of managing that...

First, he summons the girl currently in his house into his room. We're featuring Hiroko to start, but over the coming months I intend to have variants drawn for the others as well. Anyway, using a smartphone app he wrote himself, he uses a combination of button presses, which send coded messages to a headset buried in Hiroko's ear, and verbal commands to bring Hiroko in and out of her robot mentality. 

Coming out of her heavily-robotized mindset is disorienting as hell for Hiroko, and it takes her a moment to get up to speed. 

But when she does, holy hell, what's she doing in Kyou's room? And in the buff, no less. Her terrified reaction's pretty human, right, Kyou? 

Nah, that's just her human AI routine coming online. The moment Kyou presses the button to set her back to "Maintenance Mode", the panic drains completely from Hiroko's face and she's back to standing motionless like a good robot. She's been tranced so often and conditioned so thoroughly by Kyou by this time that she's helpless to respond in any other way.

Kyou repeats this trick several times to satisfy himself, switching her personality on and off as if there were a literal light switch in her head and she reacts exactly as programmed without fail. And really, what human could ever react in such a way? 

None. None could react like that.

Because she's a robot.
