Voting Options for 0.4

Break time is over, and it looks like there isn't going to need to be a hotfix on this one, so it's time to start thinking about features for 0.4.

As always this early, all of these will come with some level of quality-of-life update, because that's a big chunk of my list. Probably even the rules assistant.

Harem Update:

Adds the ability to assign to the Harem. This will start something of a "dating sim" based on their background, and ultimately unlock a bonus of some kind once they're fully trained.

Diplomacy Update:

New faction leaders, actual diplomacy options other than endless war, and better colony management.

Station Graphics Update:

Numerous graphical improvements to the station view, including changing the themes of floors and redoing a bunch of the old furniture.

Animation Update:

More animation options for the inspection screen.

As always, if you have more ideas for updates, let me know. SM1 had more than one update proposed by community members, and I suspect SM2 will as well.

My biggest difficulty with the game so far is still mostly QoL, with the UI being the biggest offender. The UI scale still seems painfully small on many screens, with the slave management screen being especially annoying. Considering how busy the rules assistant was in SM1, I'm expecting this to be a problem there too, so I'm hoping you'll take a step back with this update and work on core UI/UX before throwing more features in. As it stands now, I find SM2 unplayable (despite its excellent promise) Another area I find troublesome is room management/the wall system. Painting out the rooms feels clunky and I'm constantly getting the sizing wrong since I find the building rectangle hard to see against the floor. Then once I get the room right, I now have to get walls around it (or having a very open concept station), which I also tend to get wrong when drawing them out. Perhaps a build room with prebuilt walls option? Then just need to clear away doors Camera control could probably use some love too. Hard to really pin down what about it bugs me, but just moving around feels... off.

Now that I better understand what you plan on doing with the Harem, I agree that graphics fixes are more important. Also, for the rules assistant, can we get better tool tips explaining what each button does. Their were times when slaves would wind up in the wrong place or not move at all in SM 1.
