Quid Pro Quo: Version 0.1.1 Now Available for Brothel Owners+
Added 2020-08-30 15:30:50 +0000 UTCQuid Pro Quo is a cyberpunk corporate management game that features blackmail, corruption, and other deeply unethical practices. I hope you like playing this as much as I liked making it.
I can't wait to see it grow over the next year or two. If past experience is any indication, this is going to be a hell of a ride.
Note: Some of you might notice that this is 0.1.1. I wrote a quick hotfix that might address the issues I saw in the comments. If you're not experiencing an issue with loading games after acquiring residents, it's probably not worth downloading. If you are though, this might fix it.
Stationmaster 1.1 is currently uploading, and I expect it to automatically download in Itch.IO by tomorrow. I'll write a separate post about that when it's done.

Starting from this alpha, you can
- Conquer and upgrade fifty-or-so competing corporations, taking them on paths ranging from the benign to the sociopathic.
- Seduce (or blackmail) other people into performing sexual favors, then use the resulting footage to tighten your grip on their lives.
- Fully animated sex scenes (currently using placeholder animations until I can get better ones out, but they're already better than Stationmaster's).
- Hundreds of distinct characters with several personality traits that keep them distinct.
- Corruption, blackmail, and traditional "dating sim" paths for all relationships.
- Detailed environments for your corporation and penthouse.
I'm still writing up the roadmap for this one, but rest assured that there are a lot of directions to expand it. Some of those are:
- Visit corporations in person (go to the club, drop by the poor unfortunates who live at your slums, or just get a coffee).
- Governments that can be blackmailed and manipulated like corporations.
- Organized crime, for when "technically legal" doesn't cut it anymore.
- More clothing, hair, penthouse, and office upgrades.
- Gender Overhaul 2: The re-clusterfuckening
- More floors, including a TV studio and a bondage basement.
Finally, I'd like to thank everyone here for your patience. I know it's been a while since I released Stationmaster 1.0, and I hope this was worth the wait.
Now I'm going to try to get Stationmaster 1.1 out so I can go back to working on the new hotness.

Interesting. I didn't see that, but I should be able to add an option to reduce the background detail in a future patch. That should help with the frame rate. I'm not as sure what's causing the load delay, but I'll run some benchmarks soonish.

2020-10-05 06:16:18 +0000 UTCFor me, the game is so slow it's unplayable. It takes about 30 minutes to load a new game, and from then on, I have about 5 fps. By comparison, I got about 30 fps with a reasonably large station in stationmaster.

2020-08-31 17:20:45 +0000 UTCi had the same issue at day 32 but for me almost none of my saves worked. only save that worked was on day 1. i was in the office and went to start a new day and got permanent black screen with loading written on it. i can hear myself moving around but cant see it. whenever i try to load another save it leaves me with the same screen except for my day 1 save. sometimes just befeore going to loading screen it seems to flash up what i assume was the game that i was leaving.

2020-08-31 17:19:26 +0000 UTCGot to day 15 and the game perma crashed. I can hear dude walking around and, the screen says "Loading". Just a black screen, I had to start the game over at day 12 to fix it. It also crashes heading into the Penthouse with company. That's what caused the crash to start.
