There's quite a bit left to do (including replacing the strange meat suit with the player's actual skin), but the "top" animation now plays correctly, and lines up with the bottom with the full range of character sizes.
That means that, as of now, the research phase is over. The rest is just fine-tuning. If everything goes well, the alpha should be out in a week or two, which is sooner than expected.
