This update ended up touching almost every system in the game, but I finally have a pretty good idea of how the tech tree will look. There will be 40 distinct technologies in all, split across four trees for different specializations.
The Biology tree will unlock advanced alterations to both slaves and planets, as well as the life support systems needed for some of the more permanent installations.
The Neurology tree will focus on training and manipulation to keep your slaves and owned planets in line.
The Military tree will focus on improving attack and defensive power, and contain upgrades that unlock and upgrade ships.
The Physics tree will contain all sorts , ranging from better engines to time manipulation.
In addition to wrapping up the UI for the tech trees, I'm also finalizing the graphics for the new Laboratory room, which I'll show off a little later.
