0.15: Animation Overhaul and Porn Studio

0.15 is officially ready to go. There weren't a lot of changes since the alpha (a few bugfixes and the porn studio), so most of this week went towards getting a head start on the insane amount of writing in 0.16.

New Sex System

I've totally replaced the animation engine for your run-of-the-mill slave sex (the inspection screen and the "new slave" screen).

I hired a professional animator to redo all of the sex animations. In addition to replacing the existing set, there is now:

The porn studio is yet another way for obedient slaves to make money. There are three distinct "sets," each with their own animations:

Upgraded General Animations

Many of non-sexual animations in both the station view and the character viewer have been replaced. I've also added multiple variants of the walk animation based on slave obedience (and one for insane slaves).

Misc Changes:

Certain event outcomes will now give slaves nicknames. This is going to be expanded quite a bit in 0.16.

Expressions are now more dynamic. Characters look around with their heads (not just their eyes), blink, move their mouths when "speaking," and transition smoothly between expressions.

Added animations to the Xenos in the monster pit.

German players should now be able to see saved games without renaming them to AM/PM time formats.

A lot of other bugfixes I didn't write down.

Procrastinated:

I'm still working with the animator to determine the cause of the "penis not actually inserting in blowjobs" issue, and will likely have a fix ready in 0.16 alpha.

Comments

Some bugs I've noticed in playing this version: 1. The 'disappearing text' bug persists (it's intermittent, but seems to get worse in higher slave/guest counts. 2. The new grandmother/grandfather data is showing the grandmother's name in both fields (ie, no grandfather). I can't even tell how inbred my own slaves are! 3. On the "area deletion bug" - one thing I've noticed is that the game seems to not be detecting a click-release; ie, the framerate is dropping very low when the bug occurs, and I'll sometimes see briefly a large area highlighted with the 'for red arrows' reticle - even though I'm not drag-clicking. So it seems like the game is picking up the initial click on the 'remove' tool to select it, and then treating that first click as the first click to use the tool *with no release.* I've only noticed it in low frame rate times, so there's that. 3. Alien Models: A few times I'll see *really strange* graphical glitches, particularly when selecting a slave in a growth vat. This used to be more common, so I'm guessing it's getting worked on - things like eyes draw five feet above the head, limbs turn to horrifying spaghetti, etc. 4. Pop-up windows "click through" to UI: When in the 'summon' window, I find that clicking on a UI element in the window will actually select the tool in the station UI that is layered beneath that window (eg, "thrust" is on top of some of the station construction tools). Feature Requests: 1. I wish the bio information would persist in the 'summon' window when interacting with a slave. I'm the kind of person who can forget charisma level, eg, in three seconds so keeping it visible would be *great.* 2. The way the rules work is still kind of wonky. 3. The surgercy center should have discrete "remove all" buttons. Right now there's an 'all' button for 'install' when some but not all of the harem have a particular implant, but there's no 'remove' button when some but not all have an implant. It also seems like the 'remove all" button doesn't really work - tried it a couple of times and the effect of the egg splitter persists. 4. It's hard to line up the economic reports with durations - it seems like the data they include is often cumulative (eg, an expenditure from three 'report periods' ago will persist for another 10 reports, even though no more money is being spent that way). I wish there was a game clock, and that the economic reports included what time period they were for. 5. "Slave idle" reports should include a 'summon' link for that slave, or at least that slave's current assignment.

Does the extreme content patch work for 0.15?

it's not really cosmetic, it mainly gives information on the number of beds or empty rooms, to know if we need to build all right away or if we have time to do something else beforehand

Slaves and tourist/citizens do seem to disappear when they go to rest, though it's only a visual problem. They still rest and pay rent so the issue seems to be just a cosmetic one.

There's always the bawling of the bunks, when they go to rest they disappear
