Features for 0.15

Experimenting with keeping these polls around for longer. 0.14 is still early in development, but here are the voting options for 0.15. No end date yet because I don't know when 0.14 will be released.

I've reworked the main goals a bit to balance them out now that I have a better idea of what I'm doing. This mostly involved merging smaller goals, but there are a few totally new (and newly stolen from Free Cities) ideas on this list.

I do optimization in almost every patch, but there's going to be a limit no matter how efficient the code is, and there's not a lot more I can do without making serious sacrifices like making characters invisible (I'm already using the scorched-Earth approach to memory leaks). I don't usually test with more than 200 slaves because it runs against the limits of my machine, but tried to leave it as open as possible for people like you with 32 GB of RAM. The short answer is that I recommend selling off some of your least favorite slaves, because the game will likely never support more than 1.5x what it does now. The bulk of the memory use is in things within the character library that I can't really control, and I'm already doing a lot of hacks to reduce its overhead. As always, I'll do my best, but there are other priorities at the moment.

it's painfully needed to have memory optimisation made really soon. i loaded my 570 slave save on my gaming computer on the last game release (0.13) and i'm up to allmost 20 GB of RAM usage. ,no wonder my porn computer couldn't handle teh save since it has only 8 GB. soon i won't even be able to have it run on that compuetr since i'm limited to 32 GB RAM due to it's age

I'll check it out. Animations are likely to be the most expensive update of the game because I plan to contact them out (budgeting to spend more than I make for this and next month if that ends up being voted on). That limits scope a bit, but there are things I might be able to do on my own.

That's definitely something I'd like to see too. It's not included right now because I can't buy it and don't have the tooling for custom clothes set up yet. It's going to have to be added in the future, but it's a lot of time for what it is at this stage.

Another suggestion, because i m not sure if such things are included in any of the choices: is it doable to add some more gear options ? One of the thing i liked in free cities was the amount of options regarding collars, gags, shoes, chastity belts, etc. and the fact that they had actual impact on the slaves with some even affecting their figures. (corsets). I imagine this might require some huge work if those gear was to appear on the slaves in station view and cut scenes ?

Would this animation overhaul also includes pathfinding animations ? Would be amazing to see the slaves move according to their state. Like pets could crawl, a disobedient and terrified slave would walk with her shoulders down and some restraints, etc. I very much fency everything that gives more life, more likeliness to the station. After all that s what we stare at the most.

If it's any consolation, fighting skill is still being added as a stat for the fighting pit, just like charisma and prestige were in the last one. The main interaction with the fighting pit will be the introduction of a couple new physical stats (likely speed and strength), which will be trainable in the training room and have more nuanced effects on fights. I also plan to add a couple new arena types for less cruel slavemasters, which will showcase other stats

Stats rework seems like the obvious #1 choice especially considering the future addition of the pit and the previous updates (new roles especially). Got to admit i also fency animation overhaul quite a bit but logic should prevail here.

was more thinking skin tone wise and such. i like treating my blackskined slaves treated differently then the otehrs at a young age. then on the likability of slaves (the stat that was newly introduced) i like keeping the les charismatic as my toys and put the ones that are in roomservice. things like that
