Ok so I've mentioned before there's a ton of codes and secrets in this series, the text in the alien ship is actually a cryptogram so it's translatable, it talks about a probability drive engine at one point, it's a hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy reference, but it does basically confirm that yeah, it probably was the crashed ship that caused everything weird in Gravity Falls, here's a brief description of what it does "it's a propulsion drive that crosses interstellar distances in a mere nothingth of a second bending and breaking the confinements of reality, causing all sorts of mayhem and confusion,", it fits well with gravity falls lol. They also mock Scientology as well at one point and confirm the shapeshifting thing from earlier in the series was a prisoner on the ship. it's amazing how much little details are hidden in the show.
