I figured you'd struggle with understanding the Sanji thing. I did at first too, because I'm a big believer in chivalry. However, I understand it in hindsight. It's Sanji putting his faith in Robin. He believes in her so much, that he knows he can rely on her to beat Black Maria, without any worry that she will be seriously injured, despite it being a trap. He cast aside his pride in order to stick to his principals and trust in his friends.
