I hope my late comments aren't minded, as I'm sure you've long forgotten, but to others who stumble on this later, I just realized that the episode name "InoShikaCho" sounds an awful lot like the formation in Naruto, Ino-Shika-Cho. I wonder if Naruto got inspiration from here, or if it means something else or is used often?

2022-01-20 20:45:09 +0000 UTCHere we are. This is the very episode that makes a change from the manga that improves the next canon arc. Just so you know Curtis in the manga Goku meets Tien at (and we all know these fillers are leading to the next World Tournament, Roshi outright says Goku and friends will meet again for the tournament) the Tournament and the antagonism starts there. Here however Goku meets Tien early and their upcoming rivalry is more personal since Goku met and fought Tien before. We also see more of Tien's less than friendly personality, so we have already set up that he's a very antagonistic rival for Goku. In fact, i think Tien might be Goku's technical first antagonistic rival, like one that outright wishes him harm during the rivalry which is due to how much of a bad person he is. (also story reasons but that is one detail I will keep hidden)

Bulma: Vain, spoiled brat, Oolong: Village Terrorist, Yamcha: Dessert Bandit, Krillin: Egotistical, plotting little shit, Tien: A lot of things, Piccolo: Wanted to rule the world, Vegeta: Exterminated races. Also, fun fact, a retelling of the series: The Mystical Adventure which was about Chiaotzu trying to get the Dragon Balls in order to find his lost wife (Which was actually a doll that looked like him)
