I honestly can't believe Dragon Ball actually won. Like for all the time I have spent here I was under the impression that there wasn't a very big Dragon Ball fanbase presence in the Goosh. Now we are gonna get the eventual Dub vs Sub debate but I hope it doesn't get too toxic. Personally I like the English dub but the Sub has a lot more of those dirty jokes that both Curtis and Akira Toriyama (the author of Dragon Ball) Love.

On the plus side, after Fairy Tail and Black Clover, are there any other super popular long running shonen left (the 200+ episode kind)? Both of those are already sort of mid tier, though I heard Black Clover got better so I wouldn't mind watching it with Curtis. It feels like only the bottom of the barrel would be left unless I'm forgetting something.

Number 1 and 2 are pretty clearly going to be Dragonball and Kaguya. So now the question is can anything overtake Black Clover for third place (or Fairy Tail for fourth). Here's hoping Tanya is able. I think Curtis will identify with the main character of that series and their struggle against a certain someone on a personal level.

Just a reminder once again, he'll probably watch more than one of the top voted series (usually the top 3 or 4), so even if *blank 2* is #1, *blank 1* is probably still in the lineup and will be right after *blank 2*

Man im really not a big fan of kaguya or the original dragon ball. Dragon ball is a great manga to read to catch all the references, since it influenced so many more mangas. Hopefully black clover is going to come eventually.

Black clover is amazing! I just finished it yesterday and its absolutely incredible! Doesn't even start slow, fairy tell fell off for me, the sub gets a lot better after 10-20 episodes, and a lot uhm quieter

Kaguya is good and will probably win. But as such I think I'm gonna shoot for and boost Mushoku Tensei or Tanya the Evil. I'll probably decide which based on how the results look in a day or two.

I honestly would even take black clover over fairy tail, just because I’ve seen most of fairy tail, and at least black clover would be something new for me (I’ve only seen clips of the Japanese voice acting). I really thought fairy tail fell off. Everyone I know (online and offline) has agreed it’s not very good, so this is a surprise to me. For black clover, on one hand the dub would be better quality, but on the other hand the sub makes me laugh because it’s so bad it’s good.

Really hope Tanya makes it, so fun to have an actual amoral main character who isn't all "I'll win with the power of friendship and love". The movie is also fantastic, one of the better anime series followup movies that's come out in recent years.
