Water Fight
Added 2018-07-05 16:40:52 +0000 UTCWe were invited to a friend's house at Noirmoutier. Since her house is not far away from the beach, we totally took advantage of this convenience and spent a fun afternoon playing on the beach (Thank god this time we didn't forget the sunscreen).
The weather was really nice and the sun was shinning. The water was clear and there weren't a lot of people on the beach. That being said, I was not sure it was the right time to be swimming in the Atlantic ocean right now, cause the water was freezing (at least to me). I didn't see a lot of people swimming around us either, so I was surely not the only one who felt that way.
We were glad that we came earlier, cause this Saturday Le Tour de France will start at this place and a lot of fans and their mobile homes will rush in this little island off the Atlantic coast of France in the Vendée department.
That evening we were dining at our friend's lovely little garden at the backyard of her house. Due to the heavy rains we had lately, we were ambushed by armies of hungry mosquitos... I'm talking about human sacrifice ceremony level of mosquito attacks.
Unfortunately, our friend Helene is an ecologist who's not fond of the idea of us spraying chemical product in her garden. We were basically eaten alive by the mosquitos during our diner time, despite of all the mosquito coils placing surrounded us (you remember these green spiral mosquito repelling incenses? I haven't used them for years) I can't help but thinking that we were kind of cursed during the past few trips, cause we had to deal with a lot of bugs.
Despite the bugs, we had a great time at Noirmoutier. If you ever got the time, make sure you visit this charming little town. 🙃

2018-07-05 19:59:13 +0000 UTCI totally get it! I grew up in Costa Rica and the beach is so warm there. I moved to Pennsylvania and the closest beach is 6 hours away and COLD AF. Also lemon eucalyptus oil! It's natural and mosquitoes hate it!!! Plus it helps with the summer heat!!! Win win scenario. As always beautiful comic, your work always brightens up my day.
