There's much proof about steroids causing mood swings and irritability and even psychotic episodes. What does Joe say when you say you're worried about what they're doing to him, long-term? Has he looked into weightlifting programs that work naturally without juicing? I don't think he should be able to force you not to masturbate when he's doing something that causes him not to want to have sex with you. Cause & effect. So, in reference to the previous comic - it's not about the sex, it's not about masturbation, it's not about porn, it's not about you. Joe has some insecurities about his body image and issues of trust, made worse by the hormones involved with steroid treatments. He needs help to get through that, but he also needs to understand he can't offload those issues onto you. To be blunt: Joe doesn't get to yell at you for looking at porn and jerking off just because he feels a need to use steroids. And you both probably need to deal with some body-image issues and realize that's not the reason you're together.

This is a sad comic :/ I hope you are able to compromise and work through this. But ultimately mismatched libido is touch to overcome. If my boyfriend didn't want to have sex everyday I would simply have to end it. That may sound very petty but I just know I'm a person that definitely needs to have frequent sex or I am frustrated and unhappy. Joe seems like he does not have good self esteem perhaps, and is using steroids and bodybuilding to feel better instead of examining why he feels the way he does. This is not an easy situation. The worst parts of a cycle are the very beginning and the very end, because that's when the hormonal changes are the worst. If Joe doesn't do too many cycles in one year, and is carefully monitoring his health and usage, he will not be in any danger. Sadly, this seems to have uncovered another issue with a lot of big guys; often they feel as if they have less worth without the muscles they work so hard for. I am very sure you DON'T feel that way about Joe, but he may have trouble believing it, especially if he's been around a lot of superficial or judgmental people. I hope both of you are okay. Is Joe insecure about your relationship ? Or does he have general body image issues ? If it is the former, then there's some things that you could do to ease the tensions. Okay, okay, I'm not a psychologist / therapist / relationship expert, but here's my two cents worth. Show him some more appreciation than usual, perhaps give him a body massage after his day at work (without any sexual undertones), prepare simple meals for him, surprise him with love notes or such ... There's no point in arguing when he's irritable, I believe Joe knows about the risk to his physical and mental health if he continues to injecting himself with steroids, so telling him off would be ineffective. Gently persuade him that he is already perfect for you as he is now (as Danny was saying) so there's no point in getting bigger for you. In the meantime, as frustrated as you're now, lay off the "muscle bottom" porn; that is not helping at all ... You try harder on your part, the rest is up to Joe. Inkollo, we're all rooting for you, because by reading your "Daily Life" series, we feel the love between you and Joe and your happiness in being with him. To be sure, as a couple you face the usual problems with work, money, trust, intimacy etc. etc, but that is exactly what makes you two so relatable ... This is tough because The success of Joe's career is based on his looks right? (It has to do with bodybuilding, I'm not sure) But if he thinks that you only first liked him for his big muscles, is some twisted way, he may be thinking that he is doing steroids for you. He may be thinking that he is doing it to keep you around. It's important to reassure and remind him that you are in love with him and not his muscles. As silly as it sounds, it's important to remind him that you don't care what shape his body is in, but that you love the person on the inside. It's important for him to practice some self-love of who he is on the inside :). I hope that makes sense
