The next day, Arena Master Fin approached Aaron early in the morning. With no surprise in his tone, he [Fin] expressed. "You are quite the work, but yet again I'm not surprised."
Knowing that it had something to do with Aucia's offer, but not understanding where Fin is going with this. So he [Aaron] had to ask, "What do you mean? Is that a good thing?"
"Most definitely." And with a more welcoming smile, Arena Master Fin continued. "Arthur Hare has demanded for you to have the freedom of training and eating at his school."
"But I'll have to become a Champion in order to be free, Aucia filled me in yesterday." Aaron answered as he took a swing on the training dummy in front of him, refusing to cut his training short.
"Exactly." Now he [Fin] wanted to compliment the buff Aaron a little bit, by adding. "Arthur wants you by his side since the word about you being smart has reached him one way or the other, I guess smart people can appreciate smart people."
Stopping for a second, he glanced at Fin and with a smile across his face he joked. "Heck of an upgrade for a guy who almost died in your Dungeons ha?"
Most definitely." Now, he [Fin] started a couple of sentences while slowly walking backwards, signifying that he has work to do. "Look, since you practically escaped the title of a Slave now I need to go and arrange some Documents for you and register you as a normal citizen. Arthur's request."
Seeing that Aaron isn't yet replying, Fin also added. "You just keep mastering your accuracy, I'll be back in an hour. I'll personally take you to Arthur's school."
Raising his eyebrow in perplexity, trying to comprehend what Fin just said. "I'm a normal Citizen but I still have to fight here?" Aaron asked, pointing out how Bizzare this is.
"Welcome to Kasterema." Afterwards he [Fin] turned around and walked away completely.
...
"You still might be confused of what you are doing here, sir Aaron." Arthur greeted him by pointing out the obvious.
Obviously still confused, even letting the silence stretch for a few seconds so he can theorize why he is here. He [Aaron] finally answered, "Well, Aucia just gave a brief generalization. Nothing concrete to be honest."
As soon as Aaron finished the last sentence, Arthur's eyes opened up immediately as if he got in some kind of shock and his eyebrows too followed that emotion. Directly asking, "Concrete?"
As if the past confusion wasn't enough, now this fresh puzzle joined in. Trying to explain, he [Arthur] answered. "Yes like... nothing firm yet."
"Aha, you Makemis people have a different accent. Sometimes its hard to understand our shared Listonarian language." Arthur expressed, giving a sigh of relief and pushing this fresh topic away.
Shedding a bit more light to the first topic [On why Aaron is here], but at the same time making it more confusing. Arthur listed down, "As a growing businessman, I have noticed that Hawk Kingdom along with the whole Iron Boot Alliance is... Well how can I put this as shortly and understandable as possible." At this moment, Arthur started stroking his chin for a couple of seconds. "Well, its shit."
Aaron pushed his tongue against his teeth at this point, trying to surpress laughter and afterwards backing up Arthur's claim. "You got a point, War back in Makemis felt better than everything I see here."
"Exactly! There are many things that just don't fit with what's good and right. Rape rates are high, the Economy is trash, a large portion of the people are poor and there is a War on our doorstep." He [Arthur] kicked back on his chair now and breathed deeply, he said everything too fast.
Laying a base of where he is going with this, Arthur continued to explain. "I have spent a lot of coins trying to fix everything, but even with 100 businesses earning coins for me, I can't fix Hawk Kingdom. Hell, I spent my life savings trying to save these ladies."
Although he is terrible with a Sword, he has what it takes to catch up on such a case. No one can harm him here, so he can express his thoughts clearly. "You want more power? I figure that's the only way to form this shit hole of a Kingdom the way you want it too."
"Most definitely. But as I told you, coins or status only works to a certain extend. I have roots beyond your comprehension in the Governing team, but it isn't enough." Arthur is being indirect on what his goal is, but it is made sure that Hawk Kingdom needs a lot of effort to be fixed.
Seeing that Aaron is listening, with his fingers locked and placed over the little table in front of them. He [Arthur] continued to explain, "King Mendebal is a fool and will loose his title eventually, I plan to claim the throne."
A smirk widened across his [Arthur's] face as he mentioned that past sentence and Aaron smirked along as well. Arthur continued to explain, "But before all of that happens, the economy needs to become somewhat more stable so I can fix this Domain up even quicker. When taking that in to consideration, I encourage you to perform 125% on your duty as an Arena Warrior. I need you attracting people from all over and make gold for the Arena and neccesarily the Domain who takes 50% of the profit."
"Look I can try but, I have high doubts about surviving 60 Battles. Best I can offer is to perform flawlessly in 10 or so battles, after that I'm as good as dead." Being realistic in such a conversation is useful, although smart he can't really do much in the battle grounds.
"If you can perform perfectly in 10 battles, perform perfectly in 10 battles. When you feel like you can't push on anymore, tell me. I'll help you dissapear for a while until I gain further control on Hawk Kingdom and set you free from your Slave title." Arthur is offering too much for something so little, but his intends are clear. He wants this place to prosper.
Arthur continued to explain. "I just need you to attract enough people to earn us a lot of gold through your presence, that's my goal."
"I'll do my best." Letting the silence stretch for a few seconds, Aaron added. "I have an idea, that you might want to use."
"Please do tell." Arthur answered with enthusiasm developing in his tone. Aaron has gotten a little name as someone smart so his word is a bit respected.
"I have a hunch that sexism bothers you, I mean you spent your life savings to help these ladies." As he finished this sentence, he witnessed Arthur nodding in agreement.
So he [Aaron] continued with his idea. "I saw in Makemis, that the more attention the public pays towards something new and different, the more will come to accept it."
Of course Aaron lied at this part, he barely remembers anything about Makemis in this body, but he knows where he is going with this point. "So if you put a Woman at a high paying Job, a high position... She will get a lot of attention and if you make it concrete who is protecting her, she will be untouchable."
Aucia Hynde is close to them, listening to their conversation and trying not to interrupt. But here, she couldn't sit calmly. "That actually makes a lot of sense, plus the few people who share our view will come to you asking for and offering help."
Thinking this through with as much as his brain can process, Arthur complimented. "Which will make this whole goal an inch easier... Genius."
