First 5 shows, done!

Hello to me Hearties and all of you who joined me on Patreon, this post is for everyone <3

The first 5 shows past by soooo fast it's incredible!! We're having an amazing time so far! We can feel that the ARMADA is growing over here and it's a wonderful feeling!

Here are some pictures from these first days, check the captions for more details!

Everything is running very smoothly with our crew - on board with us are: Aline (lights), Erwin (sound), Robert (drum tech), Zakk (prop and costume tech), Mary "Pink Pirate" (merch), Lina (content creator) and Yanic our wonderful driver!

🌧️🌦️The weather has been going from 27 degrees celcius in Washington to close to 0 here in Québec, with a lot of rain and I've been feeling under the weather these last 2 days... The air on the bus is again very dry and I think I need to invest in a little device to help moisture my breathing system... My voice is showing little signs of tiredness ^^ At least today we're resting and I try to talk the least possible. Our set is 100 mn long and we also sing 5 songs at Meet&Greet + soundcheck and I feel like I have to pay attention to anything extra that is using my voice during the day. Sometimes you don't realize but talking in loud environments can be very harmful or just tiring and then, there's less power available for the shows! So far so good, it's more a note to myself regarding this aspect that I need to pay attention to.

🍛🥙 Food was also a bit of an issue on the very first days. We didn't have access to many stores nor to good food options close to the venues on the first shows and I realized I probably ate less than I should have had and it might have participated in making me feel more tired than when I arrived here in the US a week ago. I also needed a few days to get back into the US tour life. It's definitely more demanding when you have to worry about your food every day, compared to Europe, where catering is available at all times.

⏳ Also, I'm not getting younger with time haha! And anything that might have been easier 10 years ago, are probably starting to get a bit more challenging, for all of us... Tom started to manifest some pain in his body, in places he normally has no issues. We know we won't last forever, we know we won't be able to keep doing this at this intensity for another 25 years... It's a funny feeling.
So far we're still absolutely enjoying what we're doing and there's no shadow of any kind clouding the sky of our tour life, but at the same time, we can not not acknowledge the natural evolution of things and it's better to embrace it and accept it rather than trying to ignore or deny it...

🚌💥 The only little "accident" we've had so far happened in Brooklyn, New York. After the show and before the bus left its parking position, there's been a lot of madness on the street, especially with traffic. At some point, a car just hit our bus on the front right side and broke the hubcap of the wheel (see picture)! Several of us were still awake in the front lounge and that made the bus shake quite a bit! Fortunately, it didn't damage neither the wheel nor any part of the system and we could leave and drive to Boston, but it's just crazy how you can get your vehicle damaged like this while being parked, as if a bus isn't big enough to be visible ^^

📷 Yesterday in Cambridge we had another wonderful photoshoot with Jeremy Saffer and we signed the pictures from previous shoots that he put for sale on his website! You can find them here! Note that the profits of these sales are divided 50/50 between him and the band, so it's another good way to support your favorite artists! They come in limited editions.

Now we're resting, working and soon we'll head out for a nice Poutine downtown Québec!
