So him being imprisoned there himself after his downfall was sort of part of the punishment. If you are willing to place your foes here then see how you like it.

2024-07-22 11:41:29 +0000 UTCIn my head the soulless remains of a human following a dementor's kiss becomes a dementor itself! So Barty Crouch Jr. is now a dementor. I think it makes sense if they themselves are soulless soul sucking creatures. This also means when the 'dementors have been breeding' in Half-Blood Prince it's just dementors giving more people the dementor's kiss and hence growing in number!
