For the first time (and probably the last) the Epic Boss is a totally new version of an existing hero. I wanted to make an epic version of Drungvendel, the Troll King, sitting on his throne in a diorama full of little details, including the evil "council of the Trolls", super small and evil creatures who whisper to the troll king hears.
I was too much inspired to recreate this scene, and I'm sure Drungvandel is perfect as first Epic Boss of the year.
As for every Epic Boss, you will receive this for free if you supported us during the full season.

HOW TO OBTAIN THE STL
- If you have been supporting us for all the 3 months listed above you received the Epic Boss through MyMiniFactory library. (check "All Emails" and "Promotions" inbox).
- MyMiniFactory is using your Artisan Guild subscription email, so you could alternatively log in with it in MMF and claim your boss inside MY LIBRARY -> OBJECT SHARED WITH ME.
- If you have been supporting for the FULL SEASON and still you didn't received your reward, please contact MyMiniFactory support team at info@myminifactory.com They are handling the MMF library system and they possess all the Patrons lists :)

Drungvandel on his Throne - LORE
Drungvandel raised as king when the Svartwood Trolls were about to be annihilated by the Frostmetal Orcish clan, led by the Lich Overlord.
The King of trolls, like any Double-headed troll, has a double personality: his first one only wants to destroy while the second one is attracted by power and wealthiness. Thanks to the King dual personality the other trolls managed to survive, becoming one of the most feared communities in Skutagaard.
Drungvandel, having wiped out everyone who wanted to destroy the troll community, proclaimed himself Lord of Svartwood, and anyone who wanted to live or just walk through the forest had to pay the toll to the king.
Thanks to the toll rule and the “high council of trolls”, made up of the king's three small but evil advisers who live in the Throne himself, it is said that Drungvandel possess the greatest treasure in all Skutagaard.
To proof himself the only king of Svartwood, and the most powerful being in all Skutagaard, Drungvandel stole the throne of the Jotunn king Haimdal, created by the dwarves of Skutagaard, from the snow-covered lands of Birfost.
This legendary throne was given to this Jotunn clan after their oath to protect the only passage to the east, to the land of the immortals, where no being dares to venture.

In summary, what I meant to say was, this is a fantastic model, but it doesn't fit my personal need. That is absolutely fine, of course. I hope Andrea continues to try new approaches, it's what makes for great art. And although I personally won't be printing this particular piece, for all its obvious merits, all the stuff I do print is of such fantastic quality and quantity, that I still think, as patreons, we get tremendous value for our $10. I really am a big fan of Andrea's work, and have been a Patreon since 2020.

As a gamer that will only use models in my game or for wargaming, it will have limited use, though. Unless I write a scenario where the players are in the Troll Kings Court, I doubt I'd ever use it. That said, you offer such good value for money in your Patreon, that not every piece needs to be used for me to feel like I'm getting my moneys worth. There are a few pieces that, while quite brilliant, I will never print because I have no need for them. But overall, I'm really happy to be one of your Patreons, and hope you will continue to experiment with ideas. One request I do have, please, please make some warriors that follow Chaos. Inspired by the Elric novels, not by GW, obviously 😉
