Sorry about the long wait time on this one, illustrating the ship in perspective is hard enough just on its own, but I wanted to carry on the theme of cut-aways in order to transition scenes from following Losté to following Skiv. The colours for this two page spread won’t take nearly as long as it’s planning; that takes the bulk of the time and brain power.

I’ve uploaded the time-lapse of me working on planning and drawing this page to the Patreon linked Vimeo channel, here are links to both the long and short time-lapses for your viewing pleasure.

Ah thanks Gabu, yeah I thought it was a pretty fun way to switch scenes, it really makes you aware that they’re on a ship too. That’s a very good point, comic books really are a medium onto themselves.

So worth it for the creative use of panels and cutaways. Really stretches your imagination and get you into the scene. The kind of thing that the medium of comics can do and no other!

Gabu

You know I had to throw one in there 😉

You can't hide those 2001 easter eggs from me :)
