Augur Book 3 Chapter 3
Added 2024-09-13 03:18:45 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if I'm going to continue the scene in chapter three, or call the continuation the start of chapter 4. I'll start writing it as a new chapter and see if it feels more natural to leave it that way or to combine the two.
My intention with Book 3 (Tentatively "Will and Godlings" but that's extremely subject to change) is to structure the narrative such that we are catching up in the middle of a conflict. I'm going to use that to spend some time exploring how Jack's relationship with each of the women in his Harem has grown and changed as I explain recent events, while starting to weave the narrative of the immediate future.
Once we're caught up, I can move the story into the current climax of the confrontation and see what happens as a result.
I started the story hot and heavy, this chapter is slowing things down a little. I don't usually want to drop the mood down too far, but I need to spend some time building up the anticipation to make payoffs sweeter and more rewarding, so while there's sex in the scene, it isn't the focus here. Which can also be hot - sometimes it's just fun to show how ubiquitously sexy Jack's life is.
