Thanks to your support, the Marble Machine X is now fully funded. I now have everything i need to finish the Marble Machine X, thank you for making this possible.
If you have been a Patreon since October 1, 2021 or before, and your total support has amassed to 100 USD or more - please register your VIP+1 Ticket to an eventual world tour concert here.
The VIP+1 Tickets are only available to Legacy Supporters who first became Patrons on or before October 1, 2021. If you are a Legacy Supporter, and your total support is under 100 USD, you can continue until you reach the 100 USD level and register the VIP+1 ticket at that point.
For new members from October 2, 2021 the VIP+1 tickets are not available.
Since reaching the milestone goal of a fully funded Marble Machine X, we are making some changes to the Wintergatan Patreon Page:
Wintergatan Patreon Page becomes a Rewardless Patreon (again)
From October 2, 2021 The Wintergatan Patreon returns to being a Rewardless Patreon Page. We do not offer exclusive rewards or exclusive content. Whenever we have created anything of value we want to share it with the world, without paywalls. We are optimistic about a future where open source, public goods and sharing is the norm. By supporting our work you are helping us spread value to everyone.
Wintergatan is Fully Funded
During Autumn-Winter 2021 most of Wintergatans essential activities are fully funded. In order for us to effectively turn your funds into valuable content, i plan to expand the Wintergatan team by hiring a COO. One of the main goals for the COO would be to expand and manage the Wintergatan team so we can create more content in the future.
Until we have hired the COO, we are not in need of financial support. During this period, other creators could be more effective in turning your support into valuable content.
Marble Machine X Status
The Marble Machine X itself is flawed design-wise. Learning-wise its been an amazing project, but as i discuss in the recent video, design-wise it is suffering from inexperienced choices i made in the beginning of this process. The Machine is so flawed that we now have to ask ourselves when it becomes irresponsible to spend more resources on it. For the world tour we would need to redesign from scratch. The third generation Marble Machine, Marble Machine X-T would be created through a completely digital design process, tested in physics simulations and upon design completion assembled by professional manufacturers, not by me. Because of this hiatus in the MMX process, the financial support from this patreon page will no longer be used exclusively for the Marble Machine X project or for the making of Youtube videos. The Support will be used for all Wintergatan work in general.

Hello, I am wondering with the new announcement that the Patreon page will suddenly stop in December 2021 in what way I can reach the €100 for the VIP+1? I have been a Patron for Wintergartan since at least beginning 2019, but with a small amount.

If I calculate more exactly, I won't reach the 100€ with Patreon alone, but with donations for music, purchase of records and several shirts maybe I will. Is there, if that is not enough, the possibility to get a VIP+0 ticket, or to buy a VIP ticket. I would just like to see the machine live after all these years.

You’ve shown to how to break down tasks, delegate, design, iterate, collaborate and follow Project Management principles. You haven’t been afraid of failure, but embraced it and came out strong for it. You owned creating an organized space and prioritized your time and lest we forget the dopamine realization for redundant tasks! You’re such an interesting dude, with great hair. Not necessarily connected to it, just all the elegant things that look good don't have to actually be part of the instrument itself. When it's up on stage, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference as an audience member.

Because those will help in restarting from scratch, since your machine is not very different from an assembly line (in abstraction).
