Thank you for being here!

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to say a random thanks for all of you being here supporting this project.

I have not been focused on providing extra perks for you, the Patrons, that you are still supporting the project in the absence of extra perks is amazing to me, it shows me you are interested in the actual project. That means so much to me and the project. I hope to be able to make you all feel like the VIP:s you really are before this journey comes to an end.
Thanks to your support, I have more help around me nowadays. I am now able to plan my time so more of my time goes into solving the bottlenecks to get MMX to the tour. I am figuring out how to manage my time better and I have almost stopped procrastinating.

(Watching Crew Dragon dock to ISS does not count as procrastination in my book!!!) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21X5lGlDOfg)

Yesterday I mocked up the instruments on the MMX and it starts to look more and more like CAD! See picture, Still a huge amount of work to plow through and I have to admit that this project is a monster for me in so many ways, the way it stretches out over time, the sheer number of parts and the seemingly never ending problem solving really put my belief in the MMX on trial every day. Getting closer to having the music instruments actually making sounds is awesome.

All I wanted to say is thank you for believing in the MMX, I have seen all the mechanical instruments in the Speelklok museum, but if we can get the MMX to play beautiful music I think this instrument will be one of the cooler ever. haha, soooo humble!!

By the way, the conveyer belt and fish stair works!! I haven't been able to edit videos about them yet but oooohhhh they look good when they move in time with the music...

Thank you.
Good luck with everything you are doing!

All the very best/ Martin

Let me know if you still need cabling help and mic help. I have some ideas for you including a wireless audio setup. Now you don’t need cables. They make them for guitars. A little antenna sticks out that you can hide easily. Only drawback is power but you could hardwire that. Current draw is next to nothing so maybe even magnet wire might work. Now you keep the cabling off machine by the audio board. I use a sticky backed copper tape for a ground plane for noise. It can also take a patenia if you want to make it part of the look. The shield is not always required.

look at that beauty!

OMG that is looking cool and i cant wait to hear it playing music

Martin and Wintergatan, you are doing such amazing work I would support you regardless. I don't need any perks, and if I get more money I will increase my contribution without any more perks added. I don't need perks, I need you to feel supported while you keep doing amazing things. My thought about Patreon is this: Provide all perks for all levels. Many of us are artists like yourself, and, as such, we don't make a lot of money. Patreon stands as a donation platform for people who want to support their favorite artists and creators, and not get special benefits at certain levels (like Kickstarter). It is artists often helping and appreciating other artists the best way that we can, and if we could give you more money, we would. So at this time accept my humble donation and know that others, like myself, are thrilled to help however we can. May the world continue to show you its wonders.

Hello Martin, from the Washington State. I live in the Tri-Cities which is in the desert part of Washington along the Columbia river. Wine country. I just got my Marble Machine Tee Shirt and have already received comments from wearing it. (everyone loves it). I’ve been a subscriber almost from the beginning . This project is so amazing and inspirational – as is your music. The World Tour is coming SOOOOOOON.. I have enjoyed all of your videos and am looking forward to seeing you and all of Wintergatan. Cheers from Washington….

Hey Martin! I've been following you ever since the first episode of MMX. I have been deeply moved and inspired by your music. I wanted to return the favor and become one of your supporters! Keep up the passion for music. I'm so excited to see where the MMX takes you! I CAN'T WAIT to see you on your world tour. Blessings from California. =)

Hi Martin! I joined Patreon today and feel a bit ashamed since I have been watching your videos for six months now without contributing at all. To ease my concience I chose a high amount :-) You probably dont want to hear this, but I think you after the world tour should start the next build, and the obvious machine would be a ..... cliff hanger. I will let you announce that project yourself later.

today i started my patreonship and with this money i am sending you all my powers today and a little more every wednesday!) since i saw the perfect timing connected in three rings i wanted to connect with your wonderful project and congratulate you for your past keep cool on building the actual hardware right now and be strong and creative in the future when you will bring life to the machine..and also to all other people beiing supportive or interested in this project and reading this..thank u..

Hi Martin! I just joined! I’ve been following for 2-3 years, so sorry I’m late to the Patreon game here, but I just wanted to show my appreciation because I’m completely amazed at what you’ve accomplished! I get so excited on Thursday mornings (my time, Hong Kong) to watch another WW. I hope to see the MMX on the world tour! It’s funny, because around the same time I started following you on YouTube, I started watching Ronnie O’Sullivan videos almost daily. (I’m American, so snooker used to not be on the top of my list of sports - but it is now). Then you mentioned him in a video and worlds collided. He inspires me. You inspire me. It was so cool to see both in one video. Best of luck as you finish the MMX! I can’t wait!!!

Thank *you* for being there! Today, just randomly, the Finnish Broadcasting Company's streaming service recommended a film by Åsa Blanck, a documentary of a really inspiring 106-old lady, called " Dagny - om jag sätter mig ner nu dör jag". And what do I hear there if not Biking Is Better :D And half the music is by Detektivbyrån. And the film is wonderful. No small thanks to your music! Hope you finish with MMX soon - as great as it is, we need more of your music in the world.

Martin you are so very close to finishing MMX. You have inspired and touched the lives of so many through your art and music. Never give up and shoot for the moon. ( No, Really I hope you get to go to the moon!) #MartinGoesToTheMoon “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” ― Plato

det är suuuuperlugnt med uppdateringarna, martin. jag är bara glad att jag kan hjälpa en annan värmlänning göra stordåd.

Martin, the MMX is looking so incredibly beautiful. I'm so excited!

After it’s finished, you should make a Mechanical Martin to play it.

Cstripes

oh my ~ I want to see play it soon.

It's worth it to see your journey. I love the problem solving that you do--i can usually take away an idea or three from an episode to help me in my own projects' troubleshooting. Can't wait to see you performing live.

Kurt Higgins

Be encouraged, you've got this!

The way I see it, you're pioneering a new generation of self-playing musical instruments, a 21st-century take on the idea. I am very confident that the Speelklok museum will want to put MMX on permanent exhibit after Wintergatan is finished using it, if that is your will. Also, it warms my heart to know you were watching Crew Dragon dock with the ISS too. I forced myself to remain awake late into the night to watch it live. I find it amusing that we share such a keen interest in space exploration when I really only got into Wintergatan because of your first Marble Machine. It was such a revelation to me to learn that "Wintergatan" is the Swedish name for the Milky Way. I love what you're doing, and I wish so much that Yusaku Maezawa would choose to bring you to the moon. You are a genius and an inspiration. I never cared about any Patreon perks; I just want you to finish the MMX and go on tour so I can come see and hear it live. Keep up the great work, and thank you!

OMG! It looks awesome! :D

I've just spent the last 20 minutes staring at that picture, what a crazy amazing work of art that is! Not only is it an engineering marvel, but it looks beautiful! Even though it still hasn't made a single note, it's already a masterpiece! So excited to see everything slowly coming together!

FamilyCraft

Wednesdays are my favorite weekday (after Friday) because of you. Thanks for the awesome channel!

Sometimes, lat at night, I can hearthe sound of the MMX wafting through the aether, coming from the future... :-)

Jörg Thomsen

This is welcome good news. I can’t wait to see Wintergatan and MMX perform live. It’s going to be amazing.

Dear Martin, keep your time we believe in you and trust you because you love the beauty.

Wow ! the conveyer belt and fish stair look goood !!! maybe you can post here how they look without editing the whole video .....

Awesome! There’s so much progress visible in this picture that wasn’t there yet in the last video. I wonder, what does it feel like for a plywood person to replace more and more parts by metal? Are you becoming a metal person?

Keep on doing what you're doing Martin. Watching episode 55 and seeing your wonder-machine make its first musical sounds brought a big grin to my face.

Thanks for reminding to watch dock! Keep up the good job. Last video was awesome. Are the wood scrap decorations for sale?

The Speelklok brag aint misplaced. As i hope to see a finished MMX in their collection after its many succesful tours ;)

Dan K

Look at that picture! Really really really beautiful! That's the reason we're supporting the project. Because it is awesome!

I agree! Watching the Dragon dock to the ISS is awesome!
