I know that Pen's feelings for Colin play a role in her actions, but she is also friends with him, and his sister is her best friend, so she is also looking out for his best interests! It always annoys me when people vilify Pen when the real villain is Marina, who is trying to scam Colin into a loveless marriage to pass her children with another man off as his so that he can take care of her and her children financially!
