In some ways this sort of reminds me of "The Thin Man", but I really enjoyed the musical numbers in this one and the back and forth with Ginger not knowing who her friend's husband really was. So well written and acted.
I really hope you enjoy this one as much as I did!

Oh! Interesting that was a dynamic they always had in films... well, I take it "for now" means they changed that up later down the line haha

2025-05-21 14:27:50 +0000 UTC"Make love" used to mean woo or court not the more common current usage to have sex. Marty was confused practically the whole movie because of misunderstanding the meaning of the phrase in the film.

2025-05-19 21:14:40 +0000 UTCContrary to the overused (and clueless) feminist whine about what Ginger Rogers “did backwards”, most of the Astaire-Rogers movies had Fred as the overconfident wiseass who knew his feet could charm any girl, and Ginger as his unimpressed rival in wisecracks….for now.
