Hi al! I watched "Son Of Kong" (1933) and WOW, I think I loved this more than King Kong!
The way the effects were done is phenomenal. Some of the shots are so well integrated, you can't see where it's joined.
Again, much like in King Kong, I really enjoyed the characters. Loving both Helen Mack and Robert Armstrong in this, with Armstrong reprising his role. Oh and Helen Mack is amazing and reminded me of Fay Wray in acting ability too, but with more of an attitude at times (which was great).
I have to admit, I was a little confused, as Google had said that Fay Wray was back in this?! But nope, she's not. Hence why I mention her throughout the main reaction. I cut my mention of it out in the intro though, but just in case you wonder why I mention her throughout watching it.
That ending though! So well done and such an epic finale.
By the way, I love that for the whole film Armstrong seems to have done a 180 in his personality, as it shows how much he has changed since Kong's death. This film also shows his progression with actually caring now and feeling sorry for Baby Kong since he killed his Dad.
Anyway! I hope you can join me for this one, I hope you're well too. Enjoy.
Take care everyone and stay safe out there!
Marty
