UNCUT | Good Omens: S1 Episode 1 - Pilot
Added 2024-06-10 20:24:49 +0000 UTCIT'S HERE! My UNCUT reaction to Episode 1 of Good Omens! You all were not lying when you said I would LOVE this show.
I'd been wanting to leave this until after posting the remaining parts of Baby Reindeer, but wanted to start getting the episodes out to you. Plus, it keeps it varied too.
I'm posting the uncut to Doctor Who's "Rogue" hopefully tonight once it's exported, but it was taking forever and wanted to get you something sooner.
I hope you enjoy! I'll post episode 2 tomorrow, due to posting this one and the Who video today.

Glad it's not just me that thought it! Ooh thank you for that about the book with the alcohol. Yeah the show way was brilliantly done, but it did take me aback a bit. I prefer it that way I think though. The book way sounds like it was drawn out of them, but not by them. Whereas in the show its like they do it themselves. Great concept! Ohh, thats so interesting about Gaiman and the hell set. It seemed odd it wasnt more hellish, but I could see he was going for a more office type dungeon area. It just feels a bit too dark though. But for office workers, that would depict hell pretty well to be fair! Yeah, I'm loving it! Thank you, I've got the finale two episodes of S1 dropping today. Ep 5 is imminent ππ₯

I agree the beginning is very Hitchhiker's TV show, when the Guide is explaining stuff, but better graphics :-) I could go on at length about Good Omens but I'll just mention one thing: In the book, when they sober up it just says, "They both winced as the alcohol left their bloodstreams." I understand how for the show they wanted it to be more visual, but I do think it turned out a little confusing! Oh, and I guess one more thing. The set designer was totally ready to design a fire-and-brimstone type of set, but Neil Gaiman was like "No, make it the most horribly depressing basement office space you can imagine." So that's Hell :-) I'm really glad you're enjoying this, can't wait to watch more!
