Greetings everyone!

Our second directly kraken themed item has clawed itself back from the briny deep and is now here in our new formats for all of you. This is still a really fun item for me. I love the idea of controlling a battlefield and this one really has the capability to do it effectively.

A look back from Matthew:

I had wanted to do something directly kraken themed as somewhat of a follow-up to our original KraCan. That one leaned a little more silly so I wanted to give something that was a bit off the wall, but could somehow find its way into somewhat more serious games. I figured a kraken's tentacle could easily be kept alive by the right artificer and used for a weapon.

One of our initial concepts with this was actually just straight up using a tentacle as a club, but we felt like it was more sensible to ground it around something that could actually be a club and then give it some of the properties of the tentacle to go on top.

I'm glad we ended up going that direction as it ends up feeling more nautical/piratey and less silly or perhaps over the top. We like to make sure our items can fit in with a lot of worlds so it was the obvious choice in the end.
