I assume we'll find out more throughout the series, so I will be VERY liberal with remove anything that I assume could be spoilers (I'm not the only one watching this series for the first time, and I know they won't want to be spoiled either). Expectation spoilers are still spoilers.
WE HAVE A VILLAIN!!! Finally, things are more interesting for me. And everything we've seen previously in the season is all tying in together.
I'm really bummed that Kuiil's gone though, he was such a nice character. Did things he wanted, helped those he believed in. Now Mando and friends will have to somehow get out of their predicament, but I hope Moff Gideon is a smart villain )Giancarlo Esposito usually plays smart villains, so he probably is).
Now I am properly hooked and can't wait for the story to unfold π€©

- You are correct that this is the first appearance of Moff Gideon - To answer your question about the use of the term "fireteam": A fireteam is a small unit of infantry (usually 4-6 soldiers) that is not intended to be split up into smaller groups. In forces that use fireteams, a squad is made up of 2-3 fireteams. Sometimes the squad leader also leads one of the fireteams, and in other cases the squad leader is independent from the fireteams.
