I honestly thought that everyone knew about Darth Vader but clearly not. I really thought Ahsoka would have known though.
I love seeing Vader dodge around in space, it really shows just how much of an amazing pilot he still is 🤩
I thought it was best to save the best episodes for last, but it seems they really wanted to start off strong with Season 2!
Though I do want to rewatch Rogue One to see the ruthless Vader that I love!
For this style of reaction, you need your own copy to watch the movie. You can set picture in picture by right clicking twice on the video and selecting "Picture in picture". The right clicking twice is a bit tricky, because you have to right click, then move your cursor so it's not on the menu, then right click again

That's good to know that they might be Clones! It makes sense though with what you said, and the fact that we don't hear any of them speak helps. I have a strong feeling that I will want to read everything that I can about Star Wars once I finish the Star Wars movies/tv series there seems to be so much more information to catch up on!

2024-09-15 13:46:46 +0000 UTCI assumed that Disney was the reason that Rebels isn't more dark/violent/brutal, which is unfortunate. I do think it's very different seeing Rebels after everything else just in terms of tone, since seeing Vader in Rogue One and Obi Wan was so refreshing. Vader was FINALLY the scary person he was made out to be. Seeing everything be more tame just makes me want to watch Vader in Rogue One a few times and imagine him like that in Rebels. It would be a nice fanfic to write, actually!

2024-09-15 13:40:36 +0000 UTCYeah as Brandon said Vader is known more as a boogeyman across the wider galaxy. People making rumors about this dark and monstrous Droid general figure that leaves no witnesses. Very similar to how Grievous was perceived during the CW. So Ahsoka not knowing is reasonable. For all she knew she probably thought that Anakin was killed during Order 66 when she heard his voice right before it happened. Also pretty sure it's not confirmed for certain but those stormtroopers that were with Vader in the beginning fight could've very well been from his 501st legion of the Clone Army. None of them speak so can't tell either way by the voice but Vader usually always had his personal legion with him when on a mission. They certainly don't act like regular stormtroopers cause they actually take cover and run away instead of just standing out in the open shooting at nothing. Those were most likely the last remnants of the Clone army left in the Imperial military, mostly because Vader specifically requests them. Though they're not called the 501st anymore they were renamed to "Vader's Fist"

2024-09-15 03:56:28 +0000 UTCThat can't have been Anakin in the Cockpit he didn't even Crash 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah unfortunately the Network this show had to air on (Disney XD) had "guidelines" about the level of Violence & Brutality it could present, so it was a compromise the Studio had to take when they were making the show, so as their own way of making up for that they gave us that iconic Scene with Vader in Rogue one and even his depiction in Obi Wan all afterwards lol And yeah don't worry it's pretty universal that everyone prefers the animation/art style clone wars had which is why they went back to it once they could with Bad Batch & Tales of Series, the style here kind of is what it is it's not something you have to like or compliment it's kinda just something you learn to temporarily adjust to each time you tune in lol. But yeah overall the Time & Place this show aired and the circumstances it was in definitely had an influence on the type of show it was gonna be, I understand what you mean though I can imagine watching this show now for the first time after every other star wars thing you've seen beforehand probably feels a little jarring, so don't worry too much if you're not 100% onboard with every aspect of Rebels that's perfectly valid! just try enjoy what you can and continue enjoying what you have so far 💛

2024-09-14 23:41:57 +0000 UTCInterestingly enough Vader was a little more well known in Legends, although in the new canon he's more of like this phantom that almost no one knows about. Even a lot of the middle to low ranking Imperial soldiers, the only other people on his level that would really be familiar with him would be Grand Moffs like Tarkin and Emperor Palpatine and those directly under him. And some of the members of Vader's Fist which comprised of some of the remaining 501st Clones and some humans. And some world leaders like Lando when the opportunity calls for it to instill fear and intimidation so he could accomplish a goal or set up a trap for someone lol In my opinion Rebels has some of my favorite James Earl Jones Vader lines lol
