Arcane 1x03 * FULL LENGTH REACTION

Oh no. So many things took a turn for the worst!

So many amazing moments, yet so many heartbreaks too in this one episode alone! What an absolute shitshow. Powder going to the Dark Side is not good.. it's really not good!

Vi acted out of anger, and it will forever haunt her. Though I feel like she'll think Powder is dead.

I love this series!!! ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ

Arcane 1x03 * FULL LENGTH REACTION

Vi had a LOT on her shoulders, it's understandable that she isn't able to rein in all her emotions. It's just so devastating how it all ended though!

It doesn't matter how many times we've seen this episode, nothing makes it any easier. Vi's toughest job was not only being Powder's big sister but the closest thing to a parent, along with Vander, as possible. But Vi is still a kid as well. Even though the Lanes make you grow up faster than possible. We've all tried to do something when we're not 100 percent ready for it. When we do, it always comes at a cost in one way or another. Powder learned even sooner than that. Silco is far worse than a vulture. At least a vulture will wait until you're dead to pick at you. Silco plans to manipulate Powder and that is far more damaging than anything else.

It's always so heartbreaking seeing someone who just wants to help, and ends up doing something that hurts others. Poor Powder, she's so confused and just trying to make sense of what the hell is happening. It really is such an amazing show, and I can see why you would give it a 12/10! The people that created this story should really get a raise and be praised, because it is wonderful. I'm so looking forward to seeing more about all the characters and how it all plays out. I'm obviously super worried, but curious to see how Vi and Powder will continue since Vi probably thinks Powder is dead, and Powder feels completely abandoned by the person she looked up to. A very interesting way for a character to turn to the "dark side". Stupid Silco ๐Ÿ˜‚

Everytime - everytime I watch this episode I loose it and start crying at the end. Powders pleading and begging and crying and seeing her break while she tries to wrap her head around what happened, what she had just done, hits me so deep in my heart. You would think the effect wears off, but no, it hurts everytime. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’” This episode marks the moment, where most people stop predicting anything. After the first two episodes you're tempted to think you've figured out how the story will go, but the very beginning crashes all your expectations. My (as usual spoiler-free) reaction to your (great) reaction: - The group was so close to escaping, they already had been breaking through the wall, Vander was off his chains and the door still held. ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ™ˆ - Despite putting the pieces about the heavy explsoion during their break-in together, Powder still chose to put not one, but three(!) blue crystals into her monkey...๐Ÿ˜ฑ - I love it that they showed the explosion from 4 different angles, because it happened so much at the same time. - Shimmer-Deckard survived the explosion because of his drug. It made him freakishly strong and fast and his mutated body resisted the shockwave, but it blew him all over to the far end of the bridge. Everyone else outside was further away from the explosion, but was still knocked out or injured. The group unfortunately was trapped in a small room in a fragile building where the explosion would have a much more devastating effect than in the big hall outside. - Powder was caught (at least that is what I get from what we saw) in a zero-g field that the explosion of the crystals created, much like Jayce and Viktor. She was shocked at first, but then you could see her expression switch to wonder and excitement, because she was not falling down and everything shone bright blue and sparkled. My guess is she floated slowly to the ground. That is why she was so giddy and happy when she came around the corner. Something she built finally worked and she could help her family, only to learn that she made everything so much worse. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ™ˆ - Vi endured so much in just one night and let's not forget, she is also only a teenager. She was already guilt-ridden because she knew all that led to this was her fault and felt this huge weight pressing down on her. On top of that she had to witness the death of beloved people again, only hours after she saw Benzo (and the Enforcers) die, so I can't blame her for her reaction towards Powder. The slap though was nothing against those angry words Vi threw in Powders face. She confirmed all of Powders fears and doubts and insecurities and yes - pushed her over the edge. But again, she was traumatized too, it was all too much in that moment, she literally just rose from Vanders dead body. Vi simply broke in her own way and lashed out against her little sister. But then she did the (normally) right thing by getting a little distance to calm down and then take care of Powder, but you're right, you shouldn't do this when your in the middle or aftermath of a deadly dangerous situation. Unfortunately Marcus thought it was a good idea to chloroform and kidnap her. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ™ˆ I am totally with you there, no matter what will happen now, this will haunt her forever...๐Ÿ˜จ - If you look closely at Silco (again the wonderful details!๐Ÿคฉ) when he hears Powder saying that Vi's not her sister anymore, you can see a look of understanding in his eyes. He immediately drew the parallel to Vander and himself and in that moment he was probably the only person in the world who could understand exactly how this little girl was feeling. And that is why he took her in instead of killing her. Powder threw herself at him because she didn't know who he was and he was the only person caring for her in that moment (from her POV). ๐Ÿ˜จ - We get several clues to the past of Silco and Vander. Vander obvioulsy was not always the peaceful leader we meet at the beginning of the story. He lead an uprising where we see him beating the sh** out of an enforcer, probably killing him, and his old companions remember him being far more aggressive. So I would guess Silco wanted to continue on that path no matter what price they would have to pay. Vander on the other side was confronted with the consequences of his actions and swore off of all violence. ๐Ÿค” - As you can see, I could talk about this show all day. ๐Ÿ˜… If I could, I would give it a 12/10 on IMDB. It is closer to perfection than anything else I've ever seen, animated or not. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ˜ As always, can't wait for the next one, till then... ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š
