Absolutely impressed with this reaction. Not many reactors will tackle this film, but you guys again show a level of appreciation and understanding of film that most younger viewers don't have. Kudos for 'getting it' again!

This is absolutely part of a trilogy. When UA released it they called it the Dollars Trilogy, but it is also known as the Man With No Name Trilogy. The final scene of this movie is the ultimate culmination of the entire series and to many is the greatest sequence ever filmed. The stars of this movie are the score and the scenery. National Philharmonic Orchestras have performed the score as a concert Can you watch this on its own? I guess, but it’s like watching Return Of The King first. You miss the whole experience. You said it seemed like these characters knew each other and had history. Absolutely! And it is all in the other films: A Fistful of Dollars, and A Few Dollars More. It’s has the same actors playing the same characters (but with some name alterations for legal reasons). I’ve been trying to get you guys to watch this for over a year and was hoping you would work thru the series because it’s worth it. But I couldn’t get you to take my suggestion seriously. Still hoping you do the others. In my book, they are rated 9.6, 9.7, and 9.8+. The series is one giant crescendo to that final scene. But there are so many great moments in all the films. All were directed by Sergio Leone with scores by Ennio Morricone. Each score is different but amazingly captures the spirit of the Old West perfectly. Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach, and Lee Van Cleef are superb actors. The other films really bring out the nuances of their characters, their histories and why they do what they do. Angel Eyes in particular has probably one of the most moving backstories ever explaining why he is who he is now. It was so profound that it has been copied over and over, but never to this level.

That was an added scene in the expended version, which as far as I know, is the only version available on streaming. You will notice the voices of the three main actors sound different as they were older when I re dubbed the audio, with the exception of Lee Van Cleef, a different actor had the dub his voice, as Lee Van Cleef died back in 1989.

I don’t recall that salt mine scene at all that’s interesting.
