just wondering if y'all have ever seen the show "peaky blinders" i think you'd really enjoy it. there's six seasons and each season is just six episodes. a little off topic from the titanic lol but it's around the same time period and this reaction made me think to ask.

I saw it 8 times in the theaters. I kept taking people. I've never been that way with any other movie.

Cameron has a way of depicting both clarity and flow of action that I think are unmatched among directors of his tier. You're never confused as to where your eye should be looking even in the most chaotic scene.

Seeing this movie on the big screen was both awe inspiring and horrifying, it really is a masterpiece. There are a lot of great directors out there, but James Cameron and Steven Spielberg are just out there on their own. Let’s just be greatful that those two men exist.

Eh, I still think the first half of this movie is kind of a slog, but the second half I agree is a masterpiece.

The actress that plays older Rose was actually alive as an infant when Titanic sank. She was an active movie star at the time they made King Kong that you just watched. The life story of Kathy Bates character was its own hit movie in the 1960s most of the film is her life before getting on Titanic. For the 80th anniversary of the sinking 5 years before this movie they released a large screen IMAX documentary taking you through the titanic wreckage. This was still current events because it had only been found 7 years earlier.

I’m the same age as James and did the same thing. I saw a lot of movies multiple times in theaters but I saw this movie the most and went and watched the rerelease a few years ago. When I first saw it I saw it in a brand new state of the art of its time theater. The heat was not working well in the first really cold days of winter and we were shivering in the theater by the time the boat was sinking and we’re really cold by the end which added something to the experience.

This was the only movie I ever saw multiple times in the theater (other than the green mile). I was 16 and went 3 weekends in a row to watch it. The theater really made it so much more impact full and eerie. The creaks and thumps and bangs all surround you and u feel so completely a part of the ship sinking. It was and still is a one of the best ever made.
