Krillin is the name used in the English translations. His hat has the Japanese spelling. Pronounced like Koo-ri rin with rolled r's. Also, the large shoulder padded armor is to show they're with Freeza. This is why the large group all looked the same in the flyby, and now Vegeta stands out.
